"So far, so good. Took about an hr. to install and probobly would have taken 15 min. less if I wasn't so anal about getting the rails perfectly level; close enough for the eye is good enough, but hey, it was my first time. Definately needed to be tensioned, and it's a snap to do so. I'm not into the scalloped look, but it really only shows in your rear view mirror while driving. Everything inside is dry as can be. Installed it over bed rails and it worked fine. Claimed gas mileage increase?? I'd say if there is it's barely perceptable; I'll just agree to say it definately doesn't hurt it. The whole thing seems to be a very solid addition."

"The installation instructions are very imprecise: It is difficult for one person to hold the rails while tightening the brackets (2) The rear Tensioner Bolt . . . hidden . . . is not shown, requiring repeated steps at installing prior to discovering just where that bolt was located and how it was adjusted. Other than those problems the cover appears to be an excellent value and quality that exceeds other covers."

"This is a terrific cover and even seems to be water tight, so far. It's been on my Tundra for about 3 weeks now and even made a trip to New England from Maryland - and did great! My only concern is that when I put a load of dirt in the bed, I'm afraid bits will get in the velcro strips, so I will need to get some sort of cover for that part. Also, the installation did not allow for a liner already existing in the bed, but my husband figured out how to attach it with the liner in place. It is doing great so far - great quality for the money."

"Really impressed with the ease of opening and close compared to my last cover which was snaps. Had a few trials placing the side rails as when tightening caused the gap between rail and tail gate to reduce. Suggest putting thin spacer (like a paint stir between top of tailgait and rail temporarily. Would like a bit more tension on the cover. Live in Texas so with more side tension and hot temps, some of the velcrow tape on side rail peeled back."

"The cover is good quality, it was the installation that was frustrating. The attachment clips did not work as well as I expected. They did not grip and hold well. I finally gave up and drilled and bolted the rails on. Now it stays put!"

Fairly Easy Install & Works Well in the Cold

Posted on 01/22/2008 by John K. - 2007 Dodge Ram (Rising Sun,MD)

4 of 4 people found the following review helpful.

"The Genesis Roll Up Tonneau Cover took about an hour to install mostly because I had to do a little trimming on my OEM under rail bedliner. The front corners of the bedliner were the culprit. Once this was completed the side rails were easily installed. On the front rail access for the nuts was a little tight, due to the bolts being right up against the bed liner, but with a little persuasion they went on. If you have a spray on or no bedliner these problems would not exist. For the few hundred miles I've used the cover it seems 98% waterproof. I feel it could be 100% water proof if the side rails were about 1"-1-1/2" longer and the cover extends about 1/2" further down the rails. I rolled and unrolled the cover in 10°F. temperatures and it latched closed easily. The heavy duty velcro sides makes sealing the sides a breeze in any temperature."

Very Nice Tonneau Cover

Posted on 11/12/2007 by John F. - 2007 Chevy Silverado (Troy,OH)

3 of 3 people found the following review helpful.

"This cover is well made, good materials, and installed very easily. I have had it over a month now and it is performing well. There are some gaps at the front of the bed in the corners that may let a little water in, but I haven't had any leaks yet. The rails don't sit perfectly flat at the back of the bed, but it doesn't seem to be affecting much and I'm not sure that anyone else would ever even notice. Overall, I am happy with this cover and would order one again."
