Get a classic companion for your truck bed toolbox. The Extang Tool Box Tonneau Cover accommodates toolboxes between 18" and 21" deep. Boasting all-aluminum frame construction, The Extang Tool Box Tonneau uses nearly indestructible snaps and a heavy-duty leather grain black vinyl tarp to cover, store and protect your valuables while improving your gas mileage.

The Extang Tool Box Tonneau Cover employs an exclusive L-Channel for a tight seal and excellent drainage between your box and your cover. The adjustable snaps make using the Tool Box Tonneau easy in any climate condition.

The Tool Box Tonneau uses Extang's TuffKlamps for easy, no-drill installation to your truck bed. For carrying large loads, the Tool Box Tonneau features quick release cross bows and a one-hand removable tail rail.

Your Extang Tool Box Tonneau Cover is backed by a 10-year warranty on the tarp; the aluminum frame carries a Lifetime Warranty.

Notes

  • The Extang Toolbox Tonneau Cover will accommodate most plastic factory or non-factory Bed Caps and Bed Rails.
  • We cannot guarantee that the Toolbox Tonneau Cover will accommodate non-factory stainless steel Bed Caps and Bed Rails. Some modification may be necessary to install the Tonneau Cover.
  • Will not fit flipping bed extenders.
  • Provide measurements for non-standard size tool boxes and specify Custom-Cut version when ordering; Custom-Cut orders carry the same full warranty but are non-refundable

"Recieved the item promptley. Had very little trouble with the install. The only thing I did not like is how the rails sit up near the tool box. There is a signifigant gap. They do provide you with extra sealing tape but if could be manufactured better. Over all though I love the cover."

"I purchased this because of the price and the uniqueness of the product. When it arrived it was missing two clamps and I had to call extang to get them sent out. The process was smooth but I still had to wait another week after receiving the cover to install it. The cover is a bit longer than the bed but overall it looks good and is functional."

"I put this on a couple of days after I received it and left that afternoon to go deer hunting. My mileage increased at least 1 - 2 MPG. The only complaint that I have is the instructions that Extang sends with the cover. They don't tell you that their are 2 different sizes of clamps in the box. The shorter ones go to the rear of the truck. The other thing is they instruct you to put the frame together and mount it on the truck. The front rail then has to come back off for the tonneau cover to slide into its channel. Other than that I would highly recommend Extang to others."

"Setup was simple and quick. Only thing that was iritating was the L channel is not long enough to fill the gap between the cover and the tool box. Slight gain in MPG's."

"After installing the extang tonneau cover, I was very impressed with it. It was not difficult to install and not over priced. I really am happy with this purchase. My only concerns are, how will it last over time. I want to see how this product will hold up after going thru a winter season, and then how it will be after several seasons. Will the snaps rust causing the cover to be hard to remove without tearing the cover or breaking the snaps? I am curious to see if the extang will undure the test of time and weather? I hope it does because as of right now I am really happy with the extang tonneau cover. Thank you Dana"

"Very good directions for installation, it only took 20 min. Could use a little more foam padding up be L-Channel bracket but you can pick that up cheap. Over all a great investment for fuel mileage increase and Keeping your stuff dry."

"I love the product; however, when measuring the depth of your toolbox, subtract the distance it extends into the bed. My cover required 1 1/2" clearance in the front for opening in lid and I should have subtracted that also. The cover extends a little beyond the back edge of the tail gate."

"I did one thing most men don't. I read the directions, then I re-read them!It was installed within 30-45 minutes. Everything fit as intended. You do need about 7 inches of self stick weather strip for the side bed rails from the L bar back to completely seal the bed rails to the truck. It looks great and is functional. I provided the website and copies of the paperwork to the local Advance Auto Store for them to referr people who inquire. SW "

"Quality of the product was excellant. I did have to purchase two longer bolts for the front clamps as I was installing this unit over an 'over the rail bed liner' and the bolt was not long enough for the front bracket."

"Its a nice cover but dont be fooled as soon as the weather gets cold you'll be sorry if you have to take the cover off. It's impossible to snap back in even with the clips set to easy.I had to put my truck in the garage so it could warm up or else I would never be able to snap the cover on ."

"Great value. Great construction and materials. Easy assembly, but instructions spotty at best. I did not use the aluminum strip which is meant to seal against tool box as it made the side rails gap at the front. I used a rubber weather strip in front of and behind tool box instead. Looks hellacool om my 1998 Dakota! Perfect fit! Thanks."

"For the cost of the cover, it's a great addition to the truck. A hard tonneau would be the ultimate, but not everyone has $800-$1000 sitting around for a cover. The craftsmanship in the cover is excellent. If you are looking for a tonneau and don't want to get rid of your toolbox, this is a great one to get"

"I only have 2 comments about this tonneau. I think it's a great product for the money, but it should come with some better step by step instructions and an extra piece of weatherstripping to put behind the toolbox (to keep water out). All in all a good product and great value."

"Great cover, insanly simple install,great seal to tool box. Definately recommend but, do have additional foam seal on hand the kit does leave a 1/4" gap at the front bed rails caused by the tool box/tonneau angle seal."
