Description

While tonneau covers prevent thieves from peeking into your truck bed, nothing's stopping them from opening your tailgate and swiping your stuff. Without a dead bolt on your tailgate, your valuables are always vulnerable to sticky fingers. Batten down the hatches of your tonneau-equipped truck with Pace Edwards' PowerGate to safeguard your cargo from bandits.

You never have to remember to lock your PowerGate. It automatically activates when you lock and unlock your power doors. Simply hit the button on your keyless remote, and your entire vehicle is locked down tighter than a Sing Sing cell block. If your rig doesn't have the power package, you can still use the PowerGate with the optional toggle switch.

Your PowerGate is built tough using a stainless steel backing plate and slide bolt with a nylon guide block. It mounts nearly invisible inside your tailgate in an hour or less without any drilling. Backed by a 3-year warranty.

Notes

  • If your vehicle does not have power door locks, you can still use the PowerGate. In place of the power door locks, the manual toggle switch kit gives you control over the locking mechanism.

I received the PE G2 in only 2 days after I ordered it from the factory store. That was fast response and shipping for the area I live. Excellent packageing and the instructions were just average. It is best to go on YouTube and view the many installation videos of the product. My Dodge Ram had a tail gate spoiler and bed rails so I had to modify the cover to fit, but the design is such that it wasn't a big problem. No shims and relocate the latchs on the rear of the cover to account for the spoiler and it fits great. I must say the quality of the cover is excellent and it is water proof so far. Looks great too. Bak Industries makes good stuff and I would recomment their products to anyone.

The Powergate functions as intended. Installation on 2006 Silverado is difficult. Removing driver door panel and getting wires through the fire wall all took much time. However, tailgate and cover are secure when vehicle locks are engaged. I'm pleased with the product.

Great deal with Autoanything. I don't have it fully install yet. Running all the wiring was a breeze. The fun part is running the wiring to the door panel which I found that the color code they say in the instructions don't match my truck. So I have some searching to do to hook them up correctly with the door locks. Overall, I'm going to very please with this product.

This Powergate is a great product that makes your truck bed secure along with a hard bed cover. Installation was pretty simple, but the wiring can be a little tricky finding the "hot wire" needed to operate this product. I would highly recommend the Pace Edwards Powergate to secure your tailgate. It is so handy to use either with the power button for the door locks or the remote control. Congrats to both Pace Edwards and to AutoAnything. Steve from Indiana

Installed one in a 2010 F-150. Tailgare lock simple to install, wiring to front easy, just take your time and do it right. Going through the firewall and connections in cab less clear. Not always Pace Edwards fault. My wiring connections were behind the parking brake assembly so it had to be removed for access to the wires. Doubles the time to do the job. Still a good product. It works as it says with little problem, just finding and connecting the right wires was pain.
