"In the manufacture of the cover, the stiching on the edge did not go through the vinyl. I telephoned the maufacturer and e-mailed pictures of the problem and he immedately sent me a replacement. Good customer service!"

"less than 1 hour from start to finish by myself!!!Just follow the EASY to read instructions which is odd for these days...Recomend it HIGHLY!!!! Grant....PS cover was one used with a metal tool box.. Great fit!!!!"

"would have been a easy installation if the channel that bolts to toolbox was the correct length. would not allow plate to set flush with rails back and tool box forward. Had to cut entire rail down all the way across. After that it was smooth."

"Had some scratches when I took from box. Looks great and very functional. Directions on "L" channel not descriptive enough. Figured it out, but some reassurance would have been nice. "L" channel should have pre-drilled holes. Hard to not scratch with drill chuck when drilling unless you have an extra long bit. Also no size was given for the bit(1/4" btw). Bolts not long enough to get through L channel and tool box, had to buy longer ones. IT DOES REQUIRE DRILLING TO ATTACH TO TOOL BOX! Knowing these things going in, I would recommend this cover. Stays dry inside under normal wet weather conditions. Works and looks great after you get past the install, and other than the L channel the install was easy."

"great looking cover, needs more adjustment on tension. the instructions need to be clearer on the fit against the toolbox. overall i am pleased with the product.but a better tensioner would be great"

Ford F-150 6.5' bed with tool box

"My tool box is 21.5". When I ordered the cover I was advised that with a 21.5" box the cover may not work and I could return the cover. With the cover frame tight to the tail gate and the adjuster bolts bottomed out, the cover was not taught enough. Only problem is this was exactly what I wanted in a cover (no snaps, low profile, built in bows, locking and one person roll up). I moved the adjuster blocks 1/4" closer to tool box, cover got taught but cab rail would pop up. Final adjustment was to tighten the cab rail to the tool box and mount the aluminum L channel on top of the cab rail to keep it down. Cover is tight and looks great, I love it."

"This is exactly what I was looking for. I wanted to keep the toolbox on my truck for tools but I also wanted to cover the bed. With this I can keep luggage and other large tools dry and out of sight. Installation of the cover itself was easy but I had to do other prep work before hand. I had to cut the front lip off the bed liner and slide my toolbox forward. Then I installed a piece of aluminum angle to seal the gap between the front of the tool box and the truck bed."

"The only suggestion I would have is to have other sizes available as all tool boxes are not 20" width. We modified it with an extra piece sent efficiently direct from extang. My husband is a handyman, or it would have been much harder to make work. But, work it does. Velcro is WAY superior to snaps in a Northern climate. It is impressively stable when closed up, and easy to open and close."

"Great product that was delivered quickly. My only caveat is that it is difficult to drill the holes and use the washers with the narrow edge on the toolbox L-bracket. Other than that minor issue, I couldn't be happier. I'd recommend this product."

"It causes me to utilize my pickup in more ways. Different projects may require me to haul items that cannot get wet where as with other projects I can normaly use the open bed."

"I have been in the market for awhile debating between the hard and soft styles. Then I decided I needed flexability in my truck, and I purchased the Extang Roll-Up. I have been happy with the products look, and rolling it up goes easy. Especially when I need to haul around tall objects. If your thinking about a Tonneau cover I recommend this one for its flexibilty, and looks. More importanly these days I got a 3mpg boost on the Highway, and it looks like my city mileage got the same."

"We had a short wait to receive our cover. But after receiving it, it was out of the box and on in less than half an hour. We were missing an adjustment screw but they got that to us in about 3 days. Since we started using it we have had no problems and would be lost without it now , i have the long bed with tool box"

"The cover is nice. Easy to install and use. My only complaint is that it did not reach all the way forward to my truck box. I have a standard size box, yet there is a gap of about 1 1/2" which obsiously allows water to enter. It will still surve its purpose for me, but I would expect the cover to cover the whole bed."

2002 Z71 Extang cover install

"I had trouble getting the back latch to latch and found I needed to move the left side back a little to match the right side for distance to the tailgate. I had to cut a little plastic off the tailgate edge cover.Once I got that done it latched and tightened up the cover. The instructions should say something about protecting the metal piece on the front of the cover from the drill chuck when drilling through it into the toolbox. It got scraped from the chuck while drilling. All in All I am happy with it. Ed"
