"Not quite as good as the hype. Easy install. Driver's rail is still a little canted making the latch hard to engage- even with the supplied rubber spacers installed. So to close the cover, I have to lift up on the rail with one and hand and force the top down into the latch. Once latched, it's a good cover. Not waterproof though- rain finds ways to seep into the bed and get unprotected stuff wet on the bottom."

Cover works great

"The cover installed pretty easy but an extra set of hands will hasten the install. It funtions very well. I didn't like the way the molding part that goes against the tool box worked, so I opted not to install it. Cover looks and works great. Short of sitting still in a monsoon, the bed stays very dry. It rolls up in a flash and takes about 30 seconds to roll back out and secure. It is a good product and I would recommend it to others. My install was on a 07 Chevy 2500HD crew with SB. The tool box is a Weather Guard(recommend the side type latches for use w/ the cover)."

Big improvement

"I'm very happy with this tonneau cover. I was worried the size would not be exact but was perfect. The only problem I had was I purchasd my tool box first so when I installed the cover it was soon evident the latches on the tool box were coverd by the cover. But I wanted this low look so I put together a lever to pull just inside the tail gait with a cable attached to the latch inside the tool box."

Low profile toolbox requires modification

"The Extang RT cover was as advertised and the actual installation of the cover was simple. However, since I had a low profile toolbox I had to raise the box in order to access the latches which would have been below the tonneau cover. A little over 30 minutes to install the cover but 3 hours to raise the box."

"Cover installs in 30 minutes, very easy install. There is drilling required into the toolbox if you want to install the brackets to allow the cover to roll up though. Solid cover though, very easy to install, roll up, and remove."

"I really enjoy this cover. It has increased my gas mileage by a little over 2MPG since I installed it. You may want to put some weather stripping along the back side of your tool box between it and the back of your bead to make the cover water tight."

Extang RT Toolbox tonneau

"As far as these types of covers go, this seems to be top of the line. No bows to fool with, no holes to drill, I was even able to keep the plastic rails on my truck and the cover mounted right to it. I went from a roll back cover on my last truck to this, and I will have to say, the rolling style cover really is the way to go, but it's just not practical as a toolbox cover. All the hardware was good, substantial stock, and it is suprisingly strong when it is all installed. It even comes with the required sizes of allan wrenches in the kit. Also, a big deal to me is that nothing attaches to the tailgate so you can get in and out of there without having to fool with the cover at all. You can even drive with the tailgate down no problem."

"The cover looks great and keeps water out while driving but not while parked. I ordered a leveling kit for my truck to see if that take care of the problem. The cover had a slight defect when i received it and it was replaced no questions asked."

"this is a great product. easy to install. the only downside is it doesnt give tips to help seal around toolbox and the holes that go into the toolbox lined up with the frame of the box and had to put a little higher. other than that i am very pleased with this product"
