"Certain parts of the installation were a bit of a pain, especially for someone like me who had never installed a bedcover before. Some steps could have used a few pictures to help show what they were talking about. Despite this, the American Roll Cover is a fantastic product. As soon as you take it out of the box you can tell it's made of high-class material and is extremely durable. It flows very well with my black F150 and I've gotten numerous compliments on looks alone already. It comes with weatherstripping to prevent rain, but I didn't install it. The first day it was on I ran it through a touchless car wash and not a single drop of water was in the bed. Amazing bedcover, and very recommended!"

"Very nice cover and fairly easy installation. If the instructions were better, especially the pictures, then this would have gone very smooth. I hope Truck Covers USA reads this and updates the installation instructions. I am very happy with the quality and the look."

"Purchasing my American Roll Top Cover through Autoanything has been my best internet purchase by far. Price wise it was the best deal anywhere, shipping was extremely fast, and the quality of the product is excellent. Installation is fairly straight forward. I have a Dodge Ram which has a tapered bed therefore spacers are required when fastening your side rails. The product is top notch and I'm extremely satisfied with fit, finish, and quality of product. I highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a retractable bed cover."

"Since I live in San Diego I was contacted by Truck covers directly for delivery. Said they would drop it off at 2:00 pm. Young man was here at 1:59 unloaded it himself. Gave a few great pointers on how to install, walked on the cover that was on his truck and lefted with a smile. Installed it the next day with the help of my wife. Used the suggestions given by the young man and found it very easy to complete. Get lots of complements on how it looks on my GMC 1 ton black dually."

"Outstanding quality and functionality. Hand's down the most superbly crafted cover on the market today. Best of all, it's manufactured in the USA! The cover still allows me to use my bed extender as well as my tie down rails without impeding it's use. You're going to feel great about this purchase as I see many folks stare at it as I'm driving by their inferior tonneau. Buy the best and purchase this bad boy! Remember, cheap people pay twice!"

"Cover arrived quickly and in perfect condition. Installation was pretty straight forward with some small factors open for slight interpretation. Install in about 1.5 hrs. with just me. EXCELLENTLY built product. Lives up to the reviews. Don't know about mileage improvement yet. Road noise in cabin very noticibly reduced after install. Do highly recommend to anyone. The price really is worth it!"

"The main canister lip was bent but easily fixed with some pliers. The installation is advanced and for two guys. I'm very impressed with the functionality and look of this cover. My truck rides better over bumps and is a lot smoother and faster on the highway. I got this one cause I didn't like the look of the bulky painted one piece covers. This one sits flush and is very sleek. I highly recommend this cover to anyone because it makes your truck perform and look better."

"First let me start by saying, I am very happy with this purchase. I have gotten several complaments on the cover. The only negative thing I can say is the directions were very poorly written however, after a call to the manufacturer the installation was easy. It took approximately 2 hours to install the cover."

"I agree that this cover is a little pricey but i always try to buy the best out there as long as it is feasable. I figured the added quality was worth the extra money.So far i am pleased. My new cover takes a little more effort to close than some of the lesser models. I figure the double walled construction has a little to do with this. Also i am pulling against the torsion spring. I double and triple checked the measurements when installed. It is right on the money. My wife thought it would be a little easier to pull back to the tailgate. All in all i think you have the best cover out there."

"This is a great product though it took 3 installs to get the seal that I wanted. That is, when tightening the bolts the rails tended to flare-up to the inside thus slightly raising the cover from the tailgate. I worked with the shims that were included but instead of using on the sides of the bolts, I put mine above the bolts which caused the rails to tilt downward slightly to enable the cover to hug the tailgate and achieve the desired seal. I stand on mine to take photos of property and it holds-up fine and resists scuffing."

"The cover showed up in perfect shape. It may not be the manly thing to do, but read the instructions thoroughly before you start (with the parts layed out on the floor). It will make the install less painful. Getting the shims to stay put while installing the clips/clamps is tough, so I resorted to taping them together and then to the bed rail. When finished (~5 hours alone), the cover looked and worked like a champ. If I had to install another, I could do it much more quickly (maybe 2 hours) with what I learned the first time around. Dodge Note: The sheet metal screws are self-tapping, but drilling small pilot holes helps keep the aluminum bracket from moving too much."

"Installation was pretty easy. It took a little over an hour. I like how the cover is custom made to work with the side rails on the Tacoma. Opening/closing is very smooth and easy. I have had the cover on my truck for about 5 months and I'm very pleased with it."

"Rain water leaks in from the rear of tailgate. Tailgate seal should be provided with the installation package. The retraction gear does not automatically retract while the truck parked uphill (i.e. driveway), you have to push it manually to open. Not sure if I should stand on top tonneau like it shown on its website because the installation paper says not to do so. Confuse...."

"This is a fantastic product. It installed quite easily, and is by far the most secure cover I have seen. If you purchase one, the only note of advise is to make sure to shim the side rails...it's very important for making sure the cover works appropriately."

"Installation went extremely smooth. I think it took longer to install the bed rug probably because of the time needed to prep the bed. Still have yet to place the drain tubes but will probably have to do the install over again, which isn't a problem at all. Gave it a 4 only because of having to install drain hoses. Aside from that, I would highly recommend it."

"Excellent cover. Even though it's one of the more expensive rolling covers on the market, you do get what you pay for. I was dissappointed that even though the cover was packed very well, it came with scratches on the panels. I know that aluminum will not rusts, but it's an eye sore for me."
