This is my second Tri-Fold from Lund. I would recommend this to everyone looking for a Tonneau Cover. It took longer to unpack than to install.

I have a bed-liner that wraps over top. It was necessary for me to cut openings for the lock-downs. Thanks for Dremel tool, it made this easier. But then the cam design was not adequate to hook behind the sheet metal, so I had to further cut out some metal. Finally, got it to hook, but less than satisfactory.

Tonneau cover was easy to install. Only took me about 25 mins. Looks great on the truck and to date, all my stuff is staying dry. I also purchased and installed the tail gate gasket.

This is the best cover I have ever had for my pick-up trucks. Takes longer to get out of the box than it takes to install. Holds up to heavy snow of upstate New York with no problems. I recommend this cover to all of my friends.

Shipping box came with several holes in it. Once opened, cover had one broken hinge. Called AutoAnything, they contacted LUND, had a replacement hinge (plus spares) in about 3 days. Installation was pretty easy once I trimmed bed underrails. Added weatherstripping to front rail to close gap. Back of cover is not curved like tailgate which makes it look a little short. However, keeps bed dry so far. Doesn't flap in the wind and like the way it folds up and snaps in place.

Installation was a breeze. I'm somewhat concerned about longivity/durability of the mounting clamps. They seem to be a bit fragile and cheaply made.

I was impressed with how easy it was to install. It also is easy to remove leaving no sign of it ever being there. I have another truck and it has a heavy solid cover that takes two people to remove and install. This cover I can do alone and my wife can carry it easily. I like it very much.

Bed liner compatible?

My '04 Tacoma has a factory bed liner, but the latching clamps appear to attach to a bed without a liner. Will this tonneau cover still attach somehow?

Hi, It will be fine as long as your bed liner doesn't cover the underside of the bed lip. Worst case scenario: you'll have to notch the liner for the tonneau feet to poke through.

Does the Lund Genesis Tri-Fold cover "lift" at speed by air flowing under the cover from the sides? Thanks. Mick

Is there any version of this that works with a toolbox already on your truck? I don't want a velcro strap version or buttons. I like the tri-folding type.

Hi Gerald, yes, the Ranch Legacy Tonneau Cover and the Ranch Sportwrap Tonneau Cover are both painted to match your factory paint.

Removing cover.

If you take the cover off in colder months and want to put it back on, does it go on easy or does it shrink so you can't get back on until warmer wather.
