Easy to install and it looks sleek and well made. I have driving in the rain and hand washed truck and very very minimal water leak in bed, not enough to cause any damage what so ever. EXTREMELY.. PLEASED WITH MY PURCHASE AND DELIVERY TIME. Thank you Auto Anything.. Dave Atlanta Georgia

It was good value for the money. The instructions could have been a little clearer, but it wasn't too bad. I ran it through the car wash the other day and there was some water in the bed. Not too much, so I'm not too worried about it.

Very easy to install, took about 30 minutes. This is my second TrrXedo, the last one was a Low Pro, this one is a little different. I like how this one over laps the edge of the bed, the low pro had a single release lever to open, this one has 2 places to release, one on each side. No big deal. The Low pro worked better if you closed the tailgate first then latched the cover (slight pain in the butt) this one you can open and close the tailgate when cover latched, which is better.

i JUST PURCHASED A USED 2012 RAM 1500 REG CAB WITH FACTORY SPRAYED IN BEDLINER. LOOKING AT THE NOTES ON THE PRODUCT THEY MENTION IT WILL NOT FIT OVER THE RAIL BED LINER. EXCUSE MY IGNORANCE BUT I DO NOT KNOW WHAT THIS MEANS. THE LINER DOES GOES UP AND OVER ALONG THE TOP OF THE BED
Answered by Nathan S. — Apr 29, 2013 8:23 AM
Hi, There are also solid, drop-in plastic bed liners that interfere with tonneau cover clamps reaching the underside of the bed lip. A spray liner is usually ok.

Hi, As with any truck that has a cargo management system, If there's space for the tonneau clamps to reach the underside of the bed lip, it should work fine.

I have had a truedo cover for 8 years and the I have a latch problem. It will latch but will pop up while driving. The latch appears to have worn down and the cross bar appears worn. Is there a way to replace the latch and can it be placed on the right side so it is on a new place on the cross bar.

What is a cargo management system?
Answered by Nathan S. — Feb 18, 2013 3:35 PM
Hi, A cargo management system is a pair of rails inside of the bed with movable tie-down points. These systems can sometimes interfere with tonneau rails, and clamps reaching the underside of the bed lip.

I just purchased a 2013 Tundra w/ the 5.5' bed. It is equipped with the deck rail system in the bed. Will this cover install on my truck with the deck rail system and if it does are there any extra steps involved in the installation. Does the installation require any drilling? Thanks.
Answered by Nathan S. — Feb 11, 2013 9:44 AM
Hi Lee, It looks like they designed the cover to fit regardless of the presence of a deck rail system. Drilling will not be require but you may need to add notches to an over-the-bedrail liner if you have one installed.

Answered by Nathan S. — Jan 21, 2013 12:09 PM
Hi, It can take several months into the new year before a product manufacturer can get their hands on a new model and test fit it. TruXedo will soon let us know if the 2013 model remains the same and we can sell the same cover that fits the 2012 or if the bed changed and a new cover needs to be developed which adds a few months before we can have it listed.

Has anyone tried to load a cab-over camper without removing the Truxport system which mounts on top of the bed caps? I have several inches of clearance on the sides and about 6-7 inches in the front where it appears that the rolled-up fabric should fit between the camper and rear window.

I posted this question and subsequently purchased the TRUXPORT™ TONNEAU COVER. I am able to load my camper without removing the tonneau cover and am very pleased.

Hello. You should not need to cut any part of your Tacoma. If you have a bed liner that goes up over the rails, then that may need to be notched. Thank you for your question.

Will this bed cover increase my fuel mileage and any idea of how much it could increase to. Because my Chevy gets about 9-11 miles to the gallon. Can you help with fuel economy?
Answered by Nathan S. — Jul 18, 2012 1:26 PM
A tonneau cover will provide better highway economy by reducing drag and gains in fuel economy will depend on the aerodynamics of the truck and your driving style though. I could see a gain of 1-2 mpg being possible. If you are after better fuel mileage, I would first consider a high flow air filter and a cat back exhaust system. These upgrades will improve both city and highway fuel economy with averages of 2-3 mpg increases.

I purchased the cover that is supposed to work with a deck rail system that I have on my 2012 Toyota Tundra Crewmax, and the clamps are completely different than the type that are shown in the instructions. The bottom part of the clamp has more of a horseshoe shape. Can someone tell me where this is supposed to fit?

I have the tie down tracks on the inside of my truck bed. They are on both sides and across the front will this effect the instulation.
Answered by Anonymous — Apr 13, 2012 3:00 PM 2010 Toyota Tacoma
You can still use the tie down cleats with this cover. However, the cover uses the factory tracks for installation so you will not be able to move the cleats around after installation. You will have to decide approximately where you want them to be and will be limited to just a few inches of adjustability once you finish the install. I have not found this to be a problem though.

I have the over the rail sprayed on bed liner. How would this product fit? I've read that trimming may be required, what does that entail?
Answered by Michael K. — Feb 23, 2012 3:50 PM
Hey Jeffery, there is no trimming needed with a spray-on liner, the installation is just as if you had no liner. Only over-the-rail plastic bed liners require trimming, since they block the tonneau's mounting clamps from accessing the bed rail.

Hey Verian, great question! This one got us wondering, so we contacted TruXedo. The note we had up was in error and has been changed. The note now says: "The TruXport fits all factory and most non-factory bed liners and bed caps; however, it cannot be used with bed rails." Thanks for the keen eye!

HOW DOES IT DEAL WITH SNOW AND ICE
Answered by Ryan B. — Mar 05, 2012 5:49 PM 1996 Ford Ranger
BOTTOM LINE - I had No Problems in snow and ice with my Tuxedo cover... I ran my Tuxedo for two years in Fairbanks, AK, exposing it to all manner of weather. I avoided rolling it up in sub-zero temps just in case the material got brittle, but it did not seem to suffer. The cover survived two full winters at highway speeds and bitter cold to still look like new. At one time I had 18inchs of wet heavy snow on the cover without any signifiant sag and no damage. There have been times that my tailgate froze shut to the tonneau requiring a dull butter knife to break the ice seal and open the tailgate.

If its a below rail bedliner should be no problem. I have same on 2006 Silverado and works fine. The top part of bedliner at cab end of bed had to be trimed down to eliminate where it previously went over rail.
