"I purchased the Pop&Lock tailgate lock along with the BAK folding bed cover for my Toyota Tacoma for security purposes. It took me about 30-40 minutes. Followed the attached instructions specific to my vehicle. Perfect fit and matches my tailgate."

Pop Lock Does the Job

"The Pop Lock was reasonably easy to install, especially since we were installing a bed liner at the same time and it required removal of the same panel in the tail gate. It took a little monkeying with the mechanism to make it lock and unlock as designed but eventually it was installed correctly. The Pop Lock does what is says it will do, lock the tail gate so it cannot be opened easily. It is not high security, however. The plastic parts in the tail gate latch that it works with would not be hard to overcome with a little pressure so it is not a true locking system. In addition, it removes a dust shield in the tail gate latch mechanism that will allow more dust and water to get into the tail gate than before the installation of the Pop Lock. I have not seen anything similar, however, so it will have to do."

"I thought the pop lock was a very good lock. Easy to install and the key lock is noticeable. I removed the decal so it looks like it is a factory option. Will buy another one when this truck is sold."

"I have a 2009 Dodge Ram, so I ordered a 2008 "LOCK". The instructions said it would take about 10 minutes to install, they were wrong, the whole thing took only about 3 minutes. I was very well suprised, great lock. Tom"

"Great product, installation seemed daunting but was easier than it seemed at first. Just need a power screwdriver or cordless drill, a few attachments and some patience and it goes right together. Installation took about 45 minutes. Love the combination of a locking toneau cover with locking tailgate!"

"I have a 2006 Dodge Dakota. Being that there is no tailgate lock, I purchased the Pop & Lock to work with my new Roll & Lock cover. I know the R&L locks my gate, but the P&L just gave a welcome additional device to help secure my bed and tailgate."

"The Pop-Lock is probably the easiest thing you can do to your truck. 5 minutes is all it takes to install this lock. 5 minutes to save yourself the hassle of replacing a tailgate. Best money spent on my truck yet."

"Installed on 2008 Honda Ridgeline in about 90 minutes by mechanically gifted #1 son. If you do not have experience with cars and how things work mechanically, the instructions do not provide sufficient clarity to avoid a long afternoon. It is installed, the color(black) and finish are compatible with the silver paint on the truck. The lock works just fine and I am satisfied with it."

"Step 2 of instructions - should supply 2,6mm bolts,oem bolts have a factory flat washer( lock washer is ok ) that needs to be removed or bolt will be short (it is a pressed on washer --- step 8 - once screw is in do not back it out,it will not hold tight on 2nd try --- other then that it was a snap to put in --- just takes a little time"

"After seeing the Lock for sale on the internet, I took the chance and ordered one. I would hsve liked to see more of how it worked, but took the chance on one anyway. After I received it and read the Instructions, which by the way, were very easy to understand if you bother to read them through several times, to completely understand them before starting things turning, with a screwdriver, of course. The only thing I found to be in error was the Screwdriver star tip mentioned in the instructions. It was not 40 but 45. This is not criticle if you try the different sizes before proceeding. Thankfully, everything went EXACTLY as described. IMPORTANT!!Come to find out that after installing the Tonneau Cover, which I purchased from you guys also, and the Lock, my Insurance Company will now pay for any rips or tears caused by people attempting to get in by slicing the cover with a knife or other sharp tool. The Insurance Co. will NOT cover these repairs without the lock in place. Another plus to having one. Oh, by the way, it needs to be locked too. The lock works excellently. Great product. There's only one thing wrong with this lock. "Why didn't I think of that"................Norm......^j^"

"My wife had to pick her parents up at the New Orleans airport so we bought the pop and lock for my truck tailgate and a tonneau cover so they could spend the day in the french quarter and garden district before coming home and safely store their luggage. It worked great. It installed in seconds and fit so perfectly snug that we didn't need the sticky pad that is on the back(just like the reviews I had previously read about on the internet). It does a great job of locking and the only thing I have done to it is remove the sticker so that it looks like it was factory installed. I could not be more pleased"

"I have a 2004 Chevy Silverado and I installed the pop & lock tailgate lock easily in less than ten minutes. I used the permanent bolt and it works well. I bought this to protect my aftermarket tail light investment and it definitely does that. I had bought a different brand previously and I couldn't get it to install and it looked cheap. The pop & lock tailgate lock is the way to go. I would recommend it to anyone."

"I bought a tonneau cover and needed to lock my tailgate to make it secure and thankfully this device does the trick. They don't tell you to pop out the plate behind the handle but once you do it goes right on and looks oem. Because my handle is plastic it can be breached by breaking it off but if they are that determined they are gonna get it no matter what. A little pricey but it works and nobody else makes one any cheaper."

"POP N LOCK IS A PRODUCT THAT IS VERY SIMPLE TO INSTALL AND IT ALSO ADDS TO THE LOOKS OF MY TRUCK. I HAD MY 5 YEAR OLD GRANDSON HELP ME AS IT WAS THAT EASY TO INSTALL. ITS A VERY GOOD PRODUCT !!!!"
