"This is a great retrofit product.If someone is set on breaching this lock they will, but for basic security,to keep the thief looking for an easy score out,works well.Keeps the tailgate from getting legs too!"

"It's a sure, simple system. It is limited by the stock plastic handle. The lock won't break, but the handle could be forced/broken to get the tailgate open. The install instructions were lacking. There could have been much better pics or diagrams. Per instructions, I fitted the lock under the handle. It was so tight a fit, I couldn't lift it enough to then remove the cover on the adhesive tape. Not a problem I guess, because it probably can't be removed when locked anyways. It's certainly better than no lock and it would look like part of the stock handle without the "Pop&Lock" sticker."

"I think it was a little pricey for what it was. I'm a locksmith by trade and the design is good except for the 20 cent lock that is in it. other than that I think it will work okay"

"This is my second Pop and Lock. I just got a new 2008 Toyota Tacoma. This lock was easier to install than the last one, several years ago. It fits firmly, and allows me to secure items int eh bed of my truck once I cover it with a bed cover. It arrived quickly and was easy enough to install."

"It took me a total of 30 minutes to install the lock. The hardest part was finding the correct torx bit to fit the screws in my Tacoma tailgate. I'm quite satisfied with the result."

"Your first choice should be a locking tailgate, if that's not available, a Pop & Lock is a great alternative. It was a seamless 15 min install, but now I've got a metal bar holding back a plastic handle. It's not foolproof, but still a good value!"

"I just bought the extang solid fold but was unable to secure my truck bed until now. the pop and lock works good and i feel comfortable that i can secure my stuff. although if someone really wanted to get in they probably could. overall it's a great product for the price and i would recomend it to anyone in the same situation. does anyone know if they sell kegarator and tapper mounts for a truck bed. because then i would be pretty much set."
