POP n LOCK Tailgate Lock

"Purchased the lock for a 2007 Toyota Tacoma. Needed added security for a BAKFLIP Tonneau Cover I purchased from another company B-4 I found AutoAnything. I would purchase both again. Wasn't in a hurry to install either product. Both were relatively easy to install. Even if you have the least amount of mechanical ability, no problem. The POP n LOCK was exactly what I needed."

"Re: Use a Pop n Lock instead of a Double Hinge Hasp Dear AutoAnything, Thanks for the Pop n Lock for my Toyota Tacoma. It fits and looks great! In the past, before I knew Pop n Lock existed, I used a double hinge hasp to secure the tail gate on the company truck. I had to drill holes in the truck to make it work but it kept the tail gate from getting stolen. Once I discovered Pop n Lock, I used it to secure my tail gate for my personal truck. The Pop n Lock fit great! It fit with the stock screws and dovetail fit with my stock tailgate handle. No holes had to be drilled and it looks stock and professional. It is just as easy to remove if I sell the truck or change the tailgate. It is by far, better than a double hige hasp. Sincerely, Angelo working in Guam"

"very easy to install in my 2005 dodge ram 1500, i snapped it in without the tape but still works great and its not going anywhere. I would recommend to anyone needing a locked tailgate"

"I ordered this lock thinking it wouldn't work very well in keeping the truck bed secure but it works just fine. I was skeptical about the installation too but followed the directions and had it installed in a matter of seconds. The label keeps peeling back and would be better with an etched or engraved label but overall I'm very satisfied."

"It ain't pretty but it works. Super easy to instal and seems to work fine. The alignment of the key port looks weird on my pickup, seems like it is made a little short. Doesn't rattle though and locks and unlocks without a problem."

"I think it will work for your average person that wants to break into your bed. Once you place this in, you can not get to the 2 sided tape like the instructions show, so be sure you peal the tape off before you fit it in, because onces its in - its in."

"Just installed the Pop Lock on my 2007 Dodge Ram. Someday I hope Dodge gets with the times & installs a factory lock on the tailgate, but until then I would highly recommend the Pop Lock tailgate lock."

Pop off the plastic first

"When I received the product I was amazed at the simplicity of the item. I read the instructions in there entirety prior to installation and found them somewhat easy to follow. However, when I got to the final instruction of removing the plastic protective strip off the adhesive square, I found that I was unable to get my fingers under the newly installed lock to remove the plastic tape. Hence I was unable to install the lock properly due to the fact that I cannot remove it from the latching assembly to tear off the protective tape. I think it would be easier to remove the plastic tape prior to pressing the locking devise into the latch assembly. Clean area with alcohol swab then press the adhesive tape onto the cleaned area."
