Description

A tonneau cover may shield your gear from the snooping eyes of thieves, but it does not stop them from opening your tailgate and pirating your valuables. Thankfully, crime-hating inventors developed the ingenious, easy-to-use Pop & Lock Tailgate Lock. It locks into place behind your tailgate handle, blocking anyone without the key from getting inside.

Pop & Lock Tailgate Locks are constructed from heavy-duty armored steel. It would take a plasma cutter to slice through this meaty security device. Though tough as nails, the Pop & Lock does not skimp on style. It’s custom-contoured to match the shape of your tailgate handle, and finished with an ABS black finish.

You won’t have to dust off your Makita for the installation—your Pop & Lock mounts in minutes without any drilling. Plus, the Pop & Lock Tailgate Locks are raised for easy use and minimized pinch risk. Backed by a 3-year warranty.

"The Pop & Lock is: 1) Easy to install 2) Very well designed & executed to the point of looking looking like it came from the Toyota factory. 3) Very fairly priced considering #1 & #2 above."

"The pop&lock was a tight fit and not altogether level once installed. Real easy to install. Have a pair of tweezers handy to pull the adhesive pad cover off once you have the lock "ears" forced into the latch slots. The lock seems pretty robust for what it was designed for. Someone will probably break the latch before they break the lock. Keeps honest folks honest."

"The quality of the construction is good, the keyed locking mechanism operates smoothly and the item looks good when installed. Installation, however, was a somewhat more difficult than described. The tailgate on my Ram 2500 had to be disassembled from the inside to permit some manipulation of the Pop & Lock assembly past the tailgate handle mechanism. Not a complicated process, but you will need star drive sockets (Torx) to do this. Once installed, the item works as described and I am pleased with it."

"Easy install, even for this 64 y/o Grandma. Disappointed it only locks the passanger side mechanism. Could be disabled fairly easily. At least I will have evidance of a break in and it will keep out the snoopers."

"My friend recently had his tailgate stolen. It cost the insurance company over $3000 to replace, paint etc. I think this will improve my chances of not having that happen to me. I'm not much of a handyman and I installed this in less than 30". Rob"

"It looks like it is an OEM lock - when I showed a co-worker he thought I purchased the truck that way. It wasn't as easy as I thought to install - but the first time doing an installation usually has a learning curve. The whole installation took around 45 minutes - but I'm a novice when it comes to anything mechanical. I've had it a week now, and it seems to work as advertised. I hope it lasts for years."
