"This was exactly the type of tonneau cover I wanted for my 2008 F-150 Supercrew. The fit is close to perfect, and it does exactly what I wanted it to do. I was very impressed by how quickly AutoAnything got the product delivered to my doorstep, and by their great customer support. The only thing I would suggest improving is the the clamping devices which hold the the rail tracks to the truck bed. The fit there is a little on the shaky side; it's hard to get them tightened down evenly."

"I ordered the Bakflip based on the it's clever design, not knowing if it would be a quality product. I am very pleased. It is very easy to install and operate. It has improved my gas milage by one and a half miles per gallon and it appears to to be made ruggedly enough to hold up to working conditions. The only concerne I have is that it looks like it might be easier to brake into than some of the other Tonneau covers. I also was lucky that my truck tailgate locks because the only way to lock the tonneau cover is by having a locking tailgate. Over all I am very pleased."

"Two areas that need improvement are:
1 - Were the cover meets the cab the rubber weather seal needs to be larger to seal better.
2 - midway on the side rail of the bed a plug needs to be added so a smooth, flat transition will allow for the side gasket to fit better.
These are minor adjustments but needed ones."

"After reviewing the available covers I choose the BakFlip as it offered the best of soft and hard covers. Easy to remove for hauling yet secure enough to store valuables. Arrived within a week of ordering, not bad for shipping across the country. Easy to install, had to trim the bed liner where the rails met the front of the bed, otherwise no problems. Fits great, looks great, easy to use. A little water leakage with Tropical Storm this week but not bad overall. Highly recommend."

"Shipping was fast
the install was easy. To tell the truth my 7 year old Boy put the rails on and I did the quality control. only issue was one latch on one side of one of the middle panels would not latch no matter how hard I tried. I drove it like that for about a week and checked on it again everything had settled and the top works flawlessly."

"The BAK Bakflip Tonneau Cover was easy to install. I have the deck rail system in my Tundra. The cover came with adaptors so that you could still use the rail system, but it is limited compared to before cover install. The covers looks great does have small leak in corners, so not completely water tight."

"I've owned the cover for about a month and have driven from Wisconsin through Colorado Springs, Albuqueque, Mesa Verde, Las Vegas, Death Valley, Bishop California and had my vehicle shipped from LA to Hawaii. The cover held up well with no problems.
Initial installation was very easy with two minor exceptions. The first one was that there were two sheet metal screws included with the parts that did not have any instructions on where they should go. I assume they are to anchor the rails to the side at the tailgate end...but I haven't installed them since it means screwing them into the vehicle. The thing I like about this cover is that it utilizes existing bolt holes with no modifications to the vehicle and the two screws seem to violate that principle. The second thing is that initially the cover needed to be pressed on to get it to click in place. Over time this became unnecessary as the cover wore in a little bit. It now closes without effort.
Overall I'm very satisfied and would recommend the cover. it held up well on a four wheel drive trip to Cerro Gordo. This cover won't keep dust from getting into the bed of a Honda Ridgeline though....but that's a vehicle design problem. It held off rain acceptably....and even though there's no lock on the tailgate...It looks like it is locked since it fits factory tight. A lock is my next purchase though since I spent a sleepless night in ABQ wondering if my stuff was going to still be there when I woke up.

"The cover was easily installed. It fit well. Had to adjust the rails a little to get the last clips to click closed.
Not sure if the drain tubes are a holdover from previous years but I went through a car wash with no leakage so I do not think they are necessary."

"Installing the rails was a little tedious. I had to cut the factory installed drop in bedliner with a Roto-Zip to allow the rails to sit within the bed as well as giving the drains a place to exit the bed. Other than that, this is a quality top which gives secure versatility to the truck bed. Washed the truck right after install and saw no water in the bed."

"I have owned several pick-ups before and I always had trouble finding the right cover. The soft tonneau's did not hold up well in winter, the hard covers were a pain in the butt if you needed to haul anything big and the roll-ups used up alot of bed space. I bought my 2007 GMC Crew Cab and was once again stuck with the same problem, what cover to buy.
The BakFlip solved all of the problems. Easy to install (approx. 35 mins. from the time I opened the box until the time I cleaned up all of the trash), great fit, ease of use and great looks WITHOUT sacrificing any bed space.
Thanks BAK Ind. for making such a great cover."

"I recently received by BAK G2 cover for my 2008 Ford King Ranch. Received in perfect condition and installation was a breeze. I had to make two small cutouts in a truck bed liner that took 30 seconds and was simple even I could do it. Everything went together perfectly. Adjustments are easy and quick and removal when you don't need it is simple. quick and easy. I had a roll up tonneau before and this is not even in the same leaguel. Looks great, much sturdier and protection and security are first class. Couldn't be more pleased. I am a BAK customer for life. Thanks. P.S. AutoAnything had the best price, shipping was quick and secure. No damage and email followup. I'll look to them in the future for my truck needs."

"Delivery was quick, and I put it on in about 30 minutes, BUT the directions for shims were not clear and it does leak badly at each rear corner. I love the look and ease of use. I would buy it again but think instructions for specific trucks should include where to shim and clamp on each model and how to stop the LEAKS"

"It was easy to install on my Frontier and looks even better. A little tricky to align it perfectly so that the latches hit every time. Definitely would have been easier to install with two people. Holds out the water better than expected, thunderstorm right after my install and the bed stayed almost completely dry! I think it is a little pricey but it looks real nice on the truck."

"The installation when fairly smoothly. The only trouble I had was getting one of the sections to lock. Even when I put a shim under the rail it still wouldn't lock and I ended up bending the rail with pliers right where the latch met the rail. Since then it's worked just fine.
The cover looks great and really adds a finished look to the truck. Gas seems to have improved but I haven't had a chance to verify yet."

"I have a 2008 Nissan Frontier Crew Cab (short bed). It was easy to install (about 30 minutes). While I was able to install it well enough, they advertise that you can still clamp in the rails even if you have the utilitrack, but it did not work out quite that way for me. They provide 3 clamps for each side, I could only fit two on each side (one at each end of the side/wall utilitrack rails)(I could not fit the clamps between the top of the utilitrack to clamp in). It holds but I would feel more comfortable with all 3 on. I am going to look into removing the rails and trying to install the third clamp and then putting the rails back on to see if it fits. Overall, i really like it, seems secure enough, and drains well through heavy rains. I would definitely recommend it to anyone. Good luck!"

"It was delivered in a short time. There was a couple errors in the installation guide, however if you have some mechanical skill you should be fine. It works as advertised. It is secure and sturdy. One warning; on a hot day be careful handling the top. The black surface really absorbs the heat."
