Smart contractors know two things: always wear a hard hat on the jobsite, and always protect your payload in the parking lot. One dropped hammer or sticky-fingered thief can really rain on your day. Protecting your noggin is up to you, but the Advantage Hard Hat Tonneau Cover is here to safeguard your freight.
Although the Advantage Hard Hat Tonneau Cover appears to be a soft roll-up bed cover, looks can be deceiving. Under its outer layer of 8oz vinyl or 18oz ragtop canvas lies a sturdy plastic shell to keep would-be crooks out of your cargo. When you need to get to your gear, simply drop your tailgate, twist the Dynamic Clamps and fold the Hard Hat forward.
Best of all, your Advantage Hard Hat Tonneau Cover arrives at your doorstep fully assembled and ready to install. About a minute is all it takes to secure it in place or take it off when you need your whole bed to haul hefty loads. And, Advantage backs your Hard Had Tonneau with a Lifetime Warranty.

I really didn't research this enough. I was expecting it to have a very hard, sturdy surface under the vinyl cover, but instead it is about 1/8" fiberboard that isn't even flat. At the back it is actually concave down between the rails which lets the vinyl cover flop around just like my one (I have had this exact cover for 5 years w/o the hard surface underneath). I'm not impressed and I am thinking about sending it back because it is not worth the premium over the non-hard top.

Didnt look like it would seal the bed but after owning it for 9 months I am impressed. Drove through the remnants of the tropical storm for 220 miles and had zero water in the bed. Easy on, easy off... the clamps have held up great. I would buy this again in a heartbeat

The fabric is gorgeous as it is convertible top material. Nice and heavy (18oz) and should last. The braces are all aluminum and the lock down latches are glass filled nylon. There is a lifetime warranty on the parts and I think 7 year on the fabric. All in all nothing in this aftermarket world is truly worth the cost but this cover is a pretty good value. I feel it will hold up well and it has a great warranty. I recommend this cover to someone who wants killer looks and a decent hardware

Received the tonneau cover and upon installation I noticed that the frame and the hard undershell became detached to the point where I could see the adhesive. Clamped the tonneau cover to the truck ( Like the look and the installation) and after 3 days the adhesive set and appears to be holding properly. Meaning the frame and the hard shell are intact when I fold the cover. - BTW I called Advantage and they are sticking by their product and are willing to replace it.

I had a vinyl tri-fold, which wasn't holding up as well as I had hoped. I do like the look of a black vinyl tonneau on my truck, but wanted more security (hard tonneau). The Hard Hat give me both. Installed in less than 5 minutes out of the box. Looks GREAT and has the exact functionality I wanted. AutoAnything gave me the best price on the web (and I did look around a lot). All in all... couldn't be happier! Thanks guys!

Has a gap between the bottom of the Tonneau cover and the top of the bed rail. The width is good but the length could be better. The latches that hold the cover to the bed are pretty flimsy and look like they will break if cover is put on and taken off often. There are also wrinkles on the front and rear of the cover. Don't think I would buy again.
