Description

When you’re in and out of your cargo bed all the time, the JackRabbit Tonneau Cover is just your style. This aerodynamic hard tonneau cover retracts automatically using a pull strap, and opens and closes without a key—saving you time and effort!

The JackRabbit's weather-resistant, padded polymer cover is laminated to rigid aluminum panels for a tight, solid fit. Your cargo is protected from rain, snow, dirt and wind wherever you travel. The cover locks every 12”, automatically catching into each position as you pull it forward.

The low-profile tonneau cover design is 100% flush-mounted with texture-finish rails and top cover. It’s designed to clamp in easily to your cargo bed with no drilling. For easy access, the handle and lock are mounted to the driver’s side with an optional cargo light for improved bed visibility. Pick up the optional Explorer Series Rails, and your tonneau is ready for mounting a burly Pace Edwards overhead rack. Backed by a 1-year warranty.

"I had a great experience with the cover I ordered. One of the original rails was damaged when I received. One call and within a few days later the new rails were at my door. The cover has been great. It's like having a huge trunk in my truck"

"Looks great on the truck. I installed it on a 2008 F-150 (lariat). A few kinks during installation but is worth the extra work for the great look. The most low profile one I have ever seen."

"Excellent product. Easy to install with one person. I placed milk crates in the bed to support the cover while I installed the side rails. Installation manual could have been a little more clear. Should have had a diagram describing and naming all the parts. It would have been nice if the side rails were about 1/2 inch longer to make it even with the top plate cover. I don't think anyone will notice it but me. First rain it did leak at the front. I installed more weather stripping. I just hope it stands up to the southern New Mexico sun. Looks great on my 2008 Tundra."

"This is the second cover that I've owned for a F250 Super Duty truck, and by far the better of the two. The last one was a flip top that provided security and easier access, however it shortened the total overall truckbed space by the width of the last pannel when they stacked up for big loads. It's weight was also not as easy for my wife or daughter to handle as this JackRabbit cover has proven to be. The Pace Edwards JackRabitt gave me better hardcover security and didn't take up as much extra bedspace to stow in the full open position. I also like the locking feature every 12 inches which is something that you can't do with other hard covers. AutoAnything's savings coupons made the purchase easier and infact was nearly as low as the factory direct seconds price from Pace Edwards. Great Cover, Great Price, Great Place to Shop!"

A more flexible option than soft tonneau covers

"I have previously had soft tonneau covers that rolled up to the front of the cab. These worked fine, but eventually the velcro holding the sides started to come undone, or the plastic clips that hold the rolled up tonneau crack, etc... As a protector of the bed and potential gas savings, any tonneau will help. But, I recommend the Pace Edwards Jack Rabbit due to the history of good reviews, the quality of the product and the ease of use."

"Ease of installation for the average mechanic. You must read all the directions first and then go back and do it following the directions. Directions should have been a little more detailed for the novice. I installed this completely by myself start to finish in less than 2 hours, that included unpacking and reading the directions. However it would have been easier with a second set of hands. I love the look and the ease of operation. If I ever get another pick up, I would buy this cover again. By the way no parts were missing. Delivery was right on time as per AutoAnything. Great doing business with you."

"Overall, the JackRabbit is an excellent bed cover. The installation took longer than estimated in the literature. I found the shipment was complete. The instructions were not totally clear. My truck came equipped with bed rail covers and they probably should have been removed, but the instructions didn't mention them. I did have sufficient clearance between the rails, but the added thickness required using the shorter pivot arms. These arms were not drilled or reamed to fit the rail clamp, causing increased installation effort. The passenger rail did not easily go in place and required "urging" to move into position. Also, my truck came equipped with cargo tie-downs which interfered with the canister moving forward and had to be moved out of the way to remove the cargo tie-downs which required special Torx wrench. On the pull strap, the Velcro holds tighter than the adhesive to the rail. The AutoAnything website instructions indicated there would be an under the cover bed light. This was not included or mentioned in the Pace Edwards instructions."

"The JackRabbit was pretty simple to install. No drilling, except for the drain holes in the bed. Looks great on my truck. I like the fact that I can open it from the side and don't hace to walk around the truck to seal up velcro or snap up the top. Overall an Excellent product."

"The Jackrabbit cover is an excellent product compared to the typical roll up soft tonneau covers. I installed the cover myself within 2 hours. Unfortunately Dodge Ram's beds are way off square, so the rails fit nice and tight at the tail gate, but are quite far off the truck rails at the cab end. I devised my own shims to solve this problem. I love the convience of rolling up the cover, packing the truck, and rolling the cover back down. No snaps, soft cover to stretch, or supports needed."

"Installation took about an hour and a half. All parts were included and there were no unexpected problems. The only thing that slowed me down was the instructions. In one part it said to tighten down the stops you had installed in the previous step, but the instructions did not mention anything about stops being installed. I looked on-line at the instructions and apparently the previous version had you install the stops, but mine had the stops already installed. Other than 5 or 6 minutes of re-reading to make sure I didn't miss anything, and the internet research, the install went perfectly. I knew I wanted a Jack Rabbit as my dad has one on his truck and loves it. I love mine now also. Sylish and functional on my 06 4x4 Chevy 2500HD crew cab."

"This was my first time installing a cover and while it took me longer than the estimated 30-60 minutes, the instructions were clear and accurate. I did the installation by myself (I'm not the handiest person) with only one problem: The rearmost rail clamps were difficult to assemble, but a little urging with a hammer did the trick. The cover looks great, slides smoothly and keeps most moisture out of the bed - we had a deluge the day after installation and there was a minor amount of water that accumulated in the bed. All-in-all a smooth operation and good investment."
