Description

When you’re in and out of your cargo bed all the time, the JackRabbit Tonneau Cover is just your style. This aerodynamic hard tonneau cover retracts automatically using a pull strap, and opens and closes without a key—saving you time and effort!

The JackRabbit's weather-resistant, padded polymer cover is laminated to rigid aluminum panels for a tight, solid fit. Your cargo is protected from rain, snow, dirt and wind wherever you travel. The cover locks every 12”, automatically catching into each position as you pull it forward.

The low-profile tonneau cover design is 100% flush-mounted with texture-finish rails and top cover. It’s designed to clamp in easily to your cargo bed with no drilling. For easy access, the handle and lock are mounted to the driver’s side with an optional cargo light for improved bed visibility. Pick up the optional Explorer Series Rails, and your tonneau is ready for mounting a burly Pace Edwards overhead rack. Backed by a 1-year warranty.

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful.

"Nice cover. Not sure about the snow load it will handle. Took a while to figure out that the side rails don't just slide in like the instructions make you think. Had to put in on an angle about half way back to get the cover stop into the cutout in the underside of the rail, then level out and slide it in. It's best to keep tailgate closed when installing side rails to keep the rails from falling off bed side and into the bed when installing the rails. The bolt covers on the back of the canister hits the top bed rail in the front of the box, throwing the cover alignment out of whack with the side rails. Rail clamps are a little tricky to negotiate into place and assemble."

Jack rabbit installation

Posted on 10/20/2007 by Tom M. - 2002 Ford F250 (Kansas City,MO)

"Overall, not bad. Two people would have sped up the installation. Guidelines were silent regarding how to tighten the rail clamps. I learned not to overtighten them as they had a tendency to twist rail inward causing it to bind with the rollback. There was no mention of when to remove the adhesive cover on the weather stripping under each rail. It looks great ut after a trip through the car wash, I was disapointed at the amount of water that enter the truck bed. We'll see what happens in the rain."

Acceptable, but could be better.

Posted on 10/04/2007 by Glenn C. (Nokomis,FL)

"Overall its not a bad product, but not a great product either. The fatal flaw of the Jackrabbit is the engineering associated with where the rails attach to the canister. Extremely difficult to fit and I expect after a few years of vibration, the canister will likely loosen or seperate from the rails. Time will tell. Certainly there is a better design and Pace Edwards needs to address this engineering flaw."

Toyota Tacoma installation

3 of 3 people found the following review helpful.

"Was sent the wrong set of instructions which resulted in an additional two hours of labor. The kit was fairly easy to set up once the correct instructions were received. The fit and finish quality is not that great and requires a lot of adjustment to square it up to the bed for a professional look so time is not one hour. Bed cover retracts easily when aligned properly."

"well after reading a few review what got my attention about the pace edward was that it flex when going 60+ to tell you the truth it does but what my concern was will it be loud and am i gonna hear it? well the answer is NO you can see it flex a bit when looking in a rearview mirror beyong that you can't hear it and that was the biggest concert for me. as the product the product is great took me 45 min. to put by myselft unlike everyone else in here i didn't have a problem with the instruction the instruction was right on only problem i have is the draining hose it's too loose and needs to be a bit bigger so it will stay on other than that i love the product this is the second item i bought in autoanthing and trust me it won't be the last."

"The instructions were very good and two of us installed it without any problems. Works like a charm. A tip on spring replacement; Remove the covers off the rear of the rails (one pop rivit to drill out on each) roll the cover back untill it sticks out the rear, appx a foot. Then you can remove the screws and the spring assembly without taking everything off the truck. Install the new spring assem. wind up spring, screw down cover and this is very easy to do also."

"Received the wrong instructions, realizing it after wasting 2 hours, thinking it was a generic instruction applicable to all. Then went to PE website and downloaded correct instructions. Tackled it the next day and put it on w/n 2 hours with proper instructions. However, missing bolts prompted a trip to hardware store and a missing lock, required a call to PE to send one. Installation and use of strap w/n instructions poor (had to figure it out on my own). Not too thrilled about the plastic cover over the cannister (photo not a representation)...but, will use 303 protectorant and should prevent any fading. I guess for the money, it meets my expectations overall. PE needs to look at quality control."
