Description

When you’re in and out of your cargo bed all the time, the JackRabbit Tonneau Cover is just your style. This aerodynamic hard tonneau cover retracts automatically using a pull strap, and opens and closes without a key—saving you time and effort!

The JackRabbit's weather-resistant, padded polymer cover is laminated to rigid aluminum panels for a tight, solid fit. Your cargo is protected from rain, snow, dirt and wind wherever you travel. The cover locks every 12”, automatically catching into each position as you pull it forward.

The low-profile tonneau cover design is 100% flush-mounted with texture-finish rails and top cover. It’s designed to clamp in easily to your cargo bed with no drilling. For easy access, the handle and lock are mounted to the driver’s side with an optional cargo light for improved bed visibility. Pick up the optional Explorer Series Rails, and your tonneau is ready for mounting a burly Pace Edwards overhead rack. Backed by a 1-year warranty.

Pace Edwards Jackrabbit

Posted on 10/31/2006 by Aja-Ann W. - 2005 Chevy Colorado (Silverdale,WA)

"The directions for installation was a little confusing, however my husband and I were able to install it in about 2 hours. My mother was actually very impressed and is thinking of getting one for my grandfather who is semi-disabled. It is easy to use and looks great. I am confident that anything in the back of my truck will be protected from the weather and safe to leave locked up. FYI: if you have a 2005 Colorado Extended cab and it came with the dealerships custom bed liner (pops in and out) you will have to remove it before installation or the canister will not fit correctly. That is really the only complaint we have about it, but you can't have everything right? Overall just very happy with the tonneau cover!"

"I rellay like the cover, with one exception - and this goes for all the covers our there... None of them seem to work with the bed system on the Nissan Titan. This cover would have been way cooler if I didn't have to take the bed system out to install the it. Other than that, I absolutely love it."

Good....but

Posted on 10/21/2006 by Archie F. - 2006 Chevy Silverado (Greensboro,NC)

"Installation instructions somewhat confusing and some fastners not as described, however installation is really easy. Biggest dispointment..since top sits BELOW bed side level all water MUST drain into bed at tailgate or into canister at front. I have bedrug in truck so it will always get wet!!"

"I installed it in about 2.5 hours--I kept rechecking everything. It looks great. the price was the best I could find. It leaks a little at the tailgate. It also flops up and down at about 60 mph or so ---which makes me wonder if the tailgate seal is going to wear out over time."

Not really pleased.

Posted on 10/19/2006 by Douglas M. - 2006 Toyota Tundra (Loveland,CO)

"The Instructions were just ok, The instructions need to outline "If you have a bed liner installed you may need to modily the liner to insure proper fit of the canister". The cover does not latch properly in the locked position. It locks fine on the left side next to the short locking side, the right side has a 3/8" gap and does not lock properly. This disign would tend the be off balance due to the lock being positioned off center. Other Tonneau designers have centered the lock. The canister that holds everything next to your cab rattles.. After all of that It looks great and improves the gas mileage."

"This is the third Pace Edwards cover I have purchased, 1 for a 2005 Dodge and 2 for Toyota Tundras. The ease of installation and the quality of these covers exceeds the other cover I have looked at. I would recommend Pace Edwards to anyone looking for a roll lock cover."

Jackrabbit Review

Posted on 10/17/2006 by Steven B. - 2004 GMC Sierra (Redding,CA)

"the product is just great. I'm very happy with the quality and the installation was easy. the only problems I had was when I didn't follow directions. I think the directions regarding the use of shims or not using them could be clearer. Do you offer a locking device for the tailgate. If a factory locking device is needed it would have been nice to know. Other than that great product"

It was a snap! (without the snaps)

Posted on 10/14/2006 by Jay K. - 1999 Chevy Silverado (Dayton,OH)

"Installed in about an hour by my wife and me. Low profile looks great, as I've been told by everyone that's seen it. I have two friends that are interested in aquiring one for their trucks. I highly recommend this product for anyone looking for a new tonneau cover. It's so much easier than messing with all those snaps. And the price was far better than any other like it that I could find. Thanks to AutoAnything for this great product!!!"

"Great Product! Wonderful improvements from older models. Mechanically-works great. Moderate difficulty-installation-(3hours)-due to poorly written instructions (needs more graphics). Factory QC needs improvement-two threaded holes where off slightly and had to do some minor grinding for alignment. The next one I install should only take about an hour, now that I know how to do it w/o the instructions."

"Love the cover. The instructions are terrible, but once you figure them out, installation is very simple... Took me me 1 1/2 hrs from start to finish. 1 hour to figure out directions, 30 minutes to install. Auto Anything has the best prices on the net. I would buy this cover again."

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful.

"It was with in a week my order arrived and it takes me about 1.5 hours to install the cover. The instruction could be a little more detail especially assembling the side rail to the box where I had a little problem. I had to make a little adjustment to my bed extender for it to flip in and out without touching the side rail. The end result looks great on my truck and easy to operate the retractable cover."

JackRabbit Tonneau Cover

Posted on 09/30/2006 by Kirk F. - 2006 Toyota Tundra (Avon Lake,OH)

"Grreat cover. It helps if you hace 2 or 3 people to install, but eventually 1 person can do it. Very happy otherwise. If you have a Toyota Tundra w/ front cargo tie downs you have to have a star socket and you must remove these before putting the canister in position. If you do this installation is a breeze. Thanks Again"

If you had problems installing this, you might want to get help for installing everything you EVER purchase, seriously, this was VERY easy to install. Looks good."

Great Product

Posted on 09/23/2006 by John A. - 2006 Ford F150 (Broomfield,CO)

"Easy installation and it looks great. The only frustration during installation was the drop in bedliner had to be cut in order to fit the canister. The directions do not mention this requirement and it took a call to Pace Edwards to verify this requirement. They have a schematic that you can download at www.pace-edwards.com/pdf/PE_Bedliner_Modification.pdf"

Nice Look

Posted on 09/22/2006 by Michael B. (Glendale,AZ)

"I recently purchased the PE cover. It looks sharp and went on with little hitch. I did enlist the help of someone that used to install these for a living a few years back. He told me that of the ones out there that the PE was the most difficult to install, but overall had the least customer complaints. The cover looks good and seems at this point to work well. By buying online I saved about $300 over the price of buying local."
