Very easy to install though I do have the bed track system installed. It only took a few minutes. It looks great and the quality is top notch for the price. Overall a good purchase.

Quick delivery, installation in approx. 30 min by myself.Looks great and very functional, well worth the price. There were small air gaps at the cab corners but added small pieces of weather strip and everything is great. The cover does not flap at high speeds and the tri-fold is very versitile.

For the price, this cover can NOT be beat. I installed it by myself, and it took longer for me to take it out of the box than it did to install it. Total time, maybe 10 minutes from opening the box to done. I haul tools across country for my work and everything must stay dry. This definitely does the job. Combo this with a Bed Rug and you will not be disappointed..

Not bad for the price, pretty much what I expected. Was sent quickly and arrived when expected. Took it out of the box and opened the parts package and one of the bolts was missing. I have to call and have another one shipped out. Installation was very easy. Not all that excited about the two small straps sticking out at the cab end. Although they are needed to hold down the cover in the folded position they take away from the overall look. Also the cover doesn't quite cover the entire bed.

love the cover, after seeing my brother in laws and the ease of use I order ed for my truck. only thing holding me back from 5 stars is were the cover folds the top bulges up a little so from the long edge it looks wavy and not straight. does not affect performance but only appearance.

Does this have 4 or 6 clamps? The two anchoring clamps located near the cab are a given, but the two folding sections, do they each have two spring loaded clamps? Or just two near the tailgate?
Answered by Nathan S. — May 29, 2013 4:05 PM
Hi Clint, You get 2 clamps by the tailgate and 2 clamps by the cab.

I have a 2012 Toyota Tacoma double cab with a five foot bed. It has rail covers and cleats that came with the truck. Will I be able to install ht Trifect Cover without cutting the existing rail system? Thanks, John
Answered by Nathan S. — Feb 08, 2013 2:34 PM
Hi John, It depends on the position of the cleats. If the're centered on the outside edges of the stake pockets, the cover will fit.

I have a 2013 Extended Cab GMC Sierra that already has "Bushwacker" bed caps. I read a review that installing the Extang Trifecta Cover might be a problem because of how the clamps line up with the bed caps'. Any information is appreciated.
Answered by Nathan S. — Jan 24, 2013 11:07 AM
Hi Pam. The critical area is the space under the lip of the bed. If the clamps have access to this area, it should fit your truck fine.

Will this cover fit a 2008 Ford Explorer Sport trac with a full bed liner that wraps from inside bed to top of side walls. I like the idea of not having to drill holes in my bed but I don't see any pictures or any reviews of anyone that have installed this model cover and if they needed to drill to fit....
Answered by Nathan S. — Jan 11, 2013 7:54 AM
Hi, The key is having access to the underside of the bed rails. If the tonneau cover can clamp under the rails, it will fit. With over-the-rail liners, notches occasionally have to be cut for the clamps to go through.

In the back of the Ridgeline is the in-bed trunk. Will the trunk lid, when fully opened, clear the side rails that support the tonneau cover, or will the trunk lid only partially open once the rails are installed?

Looking to purchase this cover and like it's easy installation and design. I must assume that it will work with most or all bed rail caps? If the answer is yes, is it preferred that the rail cap is smooth and flat? Many rail caps have ridges or some other textured surface that presumably could affect the underside seal. Correct? The main reason for this question is that I plan to remove the cover in the summer and want to have the bed rail caps in place to protect the top of the rails.

how secure does this make your truck box or can it be torn open
Answered by Michael K. — May 01, 2012 12:50 PM
Hi Mike, the Trifecta can only be opened from inside the bed via the tailgate, so if you have a locking tailgate, the unit is secure. However, the cover is made of vinyl, so it could be cut or torn open. For complete cargo security, you may want to check out our selection of Hard Tonneau Covers.

Under notes where it says trucks with bed liners, it is a bit questionable about the fitting aspect. It says fits all sprayed on bed liners and under the rail bed liners but not over the rail liners. ????? So to me that means that over the rail sprayed in bed liners are fine as long as they are not the plastic type. Is that true? The notes are a bit miss leading or I am not seeing the full meaning. So to break it down; will it work on an over the rail sprayed in bed liner and still keep a seal? Yes? or No?
Answered by Michael K. — Feb 14, 2012 4:14 PM
Hi Brian, you are correct, it will work with a sprayed in liner. It will also work with a plastic liner, but the liner will need to be cut in order for the installation clamps to fit. The problem is not really what is on top of the rail, but getting the clamps under the rail to secure the tonneau.

Hey David, the Extang cover is designed to install in a few minutes, with no assembly, drilling or cutting required.

I have a Pop & Lock Kit installed on my Silverado. Does this tonneau (along with a pop & lock kit) provide security from intruders. In other words, can you open the tonneau from its edges from the outside, or do you have to fold it up starting from the inside?
Answered by steven w — Jan 22, 2012 6:40 AM 2009 Chevy Colorado
I don't have a Pop & Lock kit but I have this cover, and you have to lower the tail gate and release the springs from inside the bed. So if they can't get open your tailgate they can't remove the cover. Very good cover, had mine 2 years, had alot of snow on it, it works great in Chicago's winter.

how hare will this installation be if you have a bed lineer already on? Mario
Answered by Ryan K. — Nov 08, 2010 12:48 PM
If your bed liner covers the truck bed rails, then you'll need to make some small cuts to the liner to make the tonneau cover fit. If the truck bed liner is a sprayed in, or slides in under the bed rails, then installation is very simple, shouldn't take you more than 5-10 minutes.
