"Arrived with no shipping damage. Added additional shims to rails at both sides of tail gate location to maintain accurate distance between rails. Used two shipping plastic shims and cut them in long equal pieces."

"I researched bed covers for over a year. I think I made a good choice. I am very pleased with the appearance and functionality of the cover. I took my time and it took me about 3 hours to install. Instuctions were just enough to get the job done. With a few more illustrations, the directions would be better. I also purchased the Powergate, so truck bed is secure for tools, etc. It hasn't rained since installation, so I don't about water yet. The price is a little steep, but I would still recommend to others."

"I love, love, love my new PE FMJ Tonneau Cover! I couldn't have made a better selection. It looks fabulous, works great. I must say that installation presented minor problems. Certain aspects are not well documented in the instruction book, and they could have some better pictures/illustrations to guide the user. The cover/storage box is hefty and installs easier with 2 persons. Once it is on, however, its nothing but pure JOY! I highly recommend it to everyone. Its worth the extra $$ for security and appealing aesthetics. P.A."

"It was very easy to install even though the instructions called for two people to sit it in place I was able to do myself without any problems. It functions perfectly without any additional adjustments and it looks really great on the Ridgeline. Thanks for a great product. When I install the lock for my tailgate I will have total security."

"overall i like my cover after months of reviews and shopping i decided to get the jack rabbit full metal cover because of the 3 yr warranty and the flush design. i did think that it came with felt on the underside of it maybe it was 1 of the several others that i looked at. i did figure that the canister would be a little better made for the price. i have only had it on for a week so i will see as time progesses.the instructions was a little hard to understand as far as installing the rails to the canister."

"This is my second Pace Edwards Jackrabbit for my Toyota Tundra. The first was a standard Jackrabbit cover, which was very functional but a bit flimsy. The original cover finally broke after a couple of years (Note: MAKE SURE YOU SHIM THE COVER PROPERLY TO MAKE SURE IT STAYS ON ITS TRACK PROPERLY). I upgraded to this one, the Full Metal Jackrabbit, and can already tell it is much more sturdy. They have made a few minor upgrades over the past couple years as well that should make it more waterproof and last a bit longer. Installation is straight forward but can be time consuming without a helper. Just read the instructions, shim the cover properly and you are good to go in about an hour. Great cover for adding extra space to your day to day dry storage and wonderful for off road adventures to keep dust, sand and water off of your gear."

"The unit mounts up nice, it does need two extra clamps in my opinion. Dresses the truck up nicely.
Not very impressed with AutoAnythings response when I informed them that the unit came in damaged. Basically I was told too bad, take it up with UPS. Lovely customer service guys, after I drop a grand on a bed cover.....otherwise it looks great, except for the gouge that some moron left with his forklift.........."

"Instalation was fairly straight forward. It took a little longer than I anticipated working alone. Much care had to be given to getting the measurements correct between the rails to ensure proper slide and latching of the cover. Squarness of the placement of the canister and rails went very easily with the design of the product. Overall it took just under an hour and a half to install."

"The cover works good and looks good, but I was disappointed with the instructions and lack of attention to detail on Pace Edwards part. They changed the installation design and eliminated the need for the canister stop but did not change the instructions or put in an errata sheet. So I called their technical support which was always busy so I had to get the modifications by voice mail messages. This process took four days. It didn't leave me with a warm, fuzzy feeling for their customer service services."

"This JackRabbit replaced a Pace Edwards cover I put on in 98. Same high quality and no drilling required. However, for a long bed I feel there should have been six (6) supports instead of just four (4). Considering the cost and the fact its from Pace Edwards I was surprised. Only time will tell if the lack of more supports will be the cause of a problem. Otherwise, I am very happy with the JackRabbit, and continue to feel Pace Edwards makes the best product. I would allow 2 hours for the installation by one person, should be less since I also had to remove a cover."

"Overall, the installation was not difficult. However, there are a couple of issues that delayed it. First, the initial step of getting the cover in the bed, positioned, and the rails attached would have been much easier with two people. Second, two of the aluminum brackets did not fit properly, and I had to use my rotary tool to grind and polish them to get them to fit together.
There was only one large drainage hole in the bed of the truck. Since the truck is leased, I did not want to drill a larger hole for the other side, and violate my lease agreement. You might consider including some type of plug for one of the drainage holes."

"Packaging for shipping was great. After reading reviews before buying I agree instructions were not very good but if you have any mechanical background it was pretty easy to figure out. I installed the cover buy myself in about 1 hour and the cover looks great. I would like to see pace edwards figure out better seal concept at the tailgate end of the cover other than that great looking, well built top."

Installation goes better with 2 people and required about 1 hour.

"The installation of the Full Metal Jack Rabitt toneau with Explorer rails was fairly simple and took about an hour to complete. Everything fit well and went together easily. There are a couple of small holes in the directions, but someone with a usual amount of handyman knowledge can reason through them fairly quickly. I would suggest purchasing bed rail covers, as the explorer rails do not cover the stake pockets on the front of the bed. The product also looks very finished when installed, I have only had it on about 3 days, and I have already received a number of compliments. The only problem I had was that the delivery was rescheduled twice so that I recevied my shipment approximately two weeks after the inital date."
