The Ranch Legacy Tonneau has exceeded all of our expectations. The fit is excellent, and it is totally weathertight. The paint match is perfect and the finish is superb. It looks great on our 2011 F-150. It is easy to operate and it latches easily and securely. We couldn't be happier with this product.

The cover seems 'flimsy' compared to the cover I had on my last truck. The cover looks great but I had to remove the flared cap on my tailgate so the lid would fit and replace it with a piece of plastic that looks cheap and terrible. I am sure that I will try to find something to replace the plastic cap.

They shipped quickly and it arrived in great shape. It was packaged very well and the way it was packaged could have taken way more shipping abuse. I am totally happy with cover. The color match and the fit were perfect. Easy two person installation.

Does the cover come up a little to give you a little more clearance? Like if my bed is 20in deep could I fit something that is 21 inches tall under it?
Answered by Nathan S. — Feb 21, 2013 1:28 PM
Hi, Each application is a bit different and while you will have some room above the bed rail, measurements will still be needed. The safest bet is to get the cover first, then check how much room you have to work with.

Is that painted

Hi, Yep, it's painted. Make sure to have your color code handy so the cover will match your truck.

The last option before buying is a question on the tailgate caps. What exactly is the difference between the flared and rounded? Is this question there to deal with after market caps?

your color for the 2005 list my truck as beige mica. toyota's website list my truck as desert sand mica. Why is your listing different than toyota?
Answered by Michael K. — Mar 05, 2012 9:41 AM
Hi Bill, as long the actual paint code matches, the tonneau will be the correct color, minus age fading, scratches, etc.

How hard/easy is it to remove the tonneau so the bed can be used for large loads? Also, do you supply these covers to Toyota as "OEM" tonneau covers for the 2012 Tundea? Looks similar....

Can you get the paint code number from the VIN number and will it tell you the size of the truck bed too? If not, am I measuring the bed outside to outside? I am looking to order the Ranch Cover for the F150 but don't want to make any mistakes
Answered by Mike S. — Jan 03, 2012 8:03 AM
The VIN does notate the wheelbase but not the size of the bed. Outside to outside measurements should be fine to help you find which cover you should order. The local dealership has the ability to pull the paint code from the VIN. Ranch Fiberglass and Auto Anything don't have that capability.

Can the cover be locked with a key?
Answered by Mike S. — Jan 03, 2012 7:57 AM
Yes the cover comes with a "push" style lock that has a coverd key hole to protect it from weathering. It comes with two keys.
