"The BAK cover is great and great looking. installation was so so. The brackets supplied to lower the Tundra track system was two brackets short and the hardware supplied to lower the rail would not allow the the tie downs to slide. The supplied hardware was not tested by BAK. If tested before supplying they would have found the problems. Also the cover main rubber gasket is scared between panel 1 and 2 on both sides! I did not notice the scared gasket until the day after I installed the cover."

I did have a little adjustment to make with one of the clamps but when I called the company the designer of the Bakflip was extremely helpful. Design & Installation Not Worth the Excitement of a Bakflip

"My pickup has a cargo management system and the drain fittings interferred with the system. The CMS rails were removed and I cut 1" off the front end of the sides and each end of the front. This allowed the fittings and hoses to clear. The clamps supplied also interferred with the side CMS rails, but order of installation made them all fit to my satisfaction. Latches on Bakflip don't contact both sides and at some point the cables may be replaced to shift the latches into optimum lockup position. Somewhat disappointed with the sloppy fit of the latches to the underside of the cover. Security of the cover is a concern and not sure it is as advertised. Wish I had seen one istalled prior to purchase. BAK should show a close up picture or video clip of the latches on their web side. Manual/instructions for installation could have be more detailed and only address the vehicle type it is included. It was only a simple printed version on regular paper. It would have been easy to create one for each cover model. Some concern with the strut rods used to hold the Bakflip in the fully folded position. They are secured into position after the Bakflip is resting up against the cab with provided cushion strips. Placement of strips is completed after installation of the unit and the concern is how the cab and Bakflip will move relative to each other. Edge cover seals don't appear wide enough to ensure the proper fit everytime the unit is closed. The few times it was open and closed during the install it was observed to be down in the gap it is supposed to cover. The bed rail top cover replacement strips were cheesy and don't address sealing the gap between the bed and strip. Three 2" long double back tape strips only address holding it in place. Next step is to take the unit to the car wash or hose it down to address all the leak paths. It appears the installation will leak everywhere. These are the major concerns with this purchase, but this is enough to maybe help someone else make an "

"I finally made up my mind and purchased the BAK Backflip. I'm glad I did. It looks great on my Tacoma. I looked at a lot of different covers and I think that I made a great decision. If you have a Tacoma, be aware, you will lose the function of the tracks in the bed (BAK uses them to mount the rails). No drilling required. Easy assembly (although the directions do really stink). Prompt delivery. All around very pleased with the service, selection, and pricing. Thanks AutoAnything!"

"The bakflip cover is great. I can't say enough about how well I like it, but installing it was fun. I have the Toyota rackrail system installed and changing it was easy, what was more problematic was the waisted time figuring out the installation of the cover hardware - NO INSTRUCTION included in the Bakflip box and nothing of value on line. This leaves the alignment up to trial and error before it is aligned properly."

"Perfect for my truck. Just what I was looking for. Very versatile. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because one of the locking latches was misaligned and I had to pull out the screws and readjust the latch. Also, the directions are unclear but the cover is pretty simple to install."
