"have had bakflip for about 2 months now. install was fairly easy by myself. took some time to line it up, but under an hour total. i'm finding that it is not water tight, which isn't a surprise. i added a tailgate seal (obviously needed) and some weather stripping at the front of the bed, but still have some water getting in. weather stipping attached to the cover's sides is smaller than what i expected. would be better if it extended further over the bed rails. looks good on the truck. didn't like the backflip logo sticker on it b/c it stands out way too much. took it off with a hairdryer and razor blade. all in all i'm happy with it despite the small amount of water that can get in. there are pros and cons to any tonneau, and this was the best fit for me allowing full, easy access to the bed w/o removing the cover."

"The tonneau cover arrived extremely quickly. It installed in about an hour - pretty easy, but two sets of hands came in handy. It fits and looks great. It has not been tested yet for waterproof-ness. Overall I am very pleased with the quality and appearance and ease of operation."

"I bought the backflip for the lo profile look and capability of being able to still use my entire truck bed when necessary. The only part that I was disappointed with was that it states that it doesn't matter if you have plastic bedliner that goes over the front rail of the bed. I ended up having to notch the bedliner to accomodate the bakflip. I also recieved 5 shims when I think I needed 6 but was able to get it to work."

"I wanted a hard cover that was priced less than the fibreglas ones and yet strong. I put this cover on during my lunch time in 30 degree weather. It went on "slicker n a smelt". Now I have a hard cover that can can be used everyday. No need to remove it to carry something,I just fold it forward. 3 locking hinges and this last 18" snowfall was no problem!"

"My BAK bakflip (G2) is great. It only took me about 45 minutes to install it on my Tundra by myself. It looks great and was a perfect fit. My gas mileage, and this no lie, has improved almost 2 miles per gallon on the highway. I hightly recommend this tonneau cover to anyone."

"Received cover on the day promised. One of the side rails was bent on the end, but was easily straightened with vice-grips. Installation was very simple despite the poorly detailed instructions enclosed. Be sure to check for additional instructions with stick on labels attached to the parts. I did need to consult the video on-line to determine the use for what turned out to be the cab bumpers. I have had it installed for less than a week so I have no input as to the water tightness of the cover. I did purchase some stick-on strip insulation to fill some gaps along the front edge where the included insulation strip was short and to fill around the tailgate edges. It looks very good on my F150 Super Crew, but the texture of the individual panels does not match exactly, however this is barely noticeable. The cover folds flawlessly and is fairly secure with my locking tailgate."

"2007 GMC Sierra New Body Style with spray-in bedliner and Cargo Management System rails.
Installed it the day I got it home. Printed instructions are a bit nondescript, but plenty of videos available online to give you a good idea of approach for installation. All you need is the correct sized socket wrench. Not at al a difficult installl. 3 hours maximum--an hour should get the job done.
Looks great in place. Works just as it should when access to the bed is needed for hauling.
Seems to be quite rigid and durable. Time will tell. Performance is well above par in it's first three days and certainly lives up to it's easy install claims.
Drainage is the only question, current body style GMs don't have hole for routing the drain tubes out of the bed... Read where others have drilled holes. Going to wait and see just how great an issue draining water becomes before I drill.
An A+ all around."

"I had a roll up type before and wanted something that was a bit more flat on the bed, this is almost completely level with the bed. Very heavy duty, there was over an inch of ice on it yesterday, no sag at all. Install took a little longer than I had hoped, just because I had to adjust things with the shims they provide to get it all squared up."

"First I must say that I love the look and functionality of the bakflip. Installation wasn't that bad especially with the instructional vids on the internet. I had an initial problem with the driver side rail not being perfectly horizontal after clamped to the bed side rail. After investigation I found that the trucks rail itself wasn't straight. Problem from the factory, however, a rubber hammer corrected the problem. After I installed the bakflip I washed the vehicle just to see how watertight the cover was. I did find some water in the bed, not as much as expected after seeing how small the weather strips were, but there was some water. I have put some silicone caulk on the inside of the bed and I guess time will tell how that does. I don't think it can hurt. I think the weather strips which cover the bed cap could have been a little bigger. The low profile look and 100% bed access is what sold me on the cover. I also feel that it was priced right in comparison to other covers. If you need 100% waterproof, then probably look elsewhere. The cover really looks great and I don't regret purchasing thusfar. The folks at autoanything were great to deal with. I will deal with them again."

"I received my G2 very timely & installed same day with no problems. Every dimension was accurate for the '08 Tundra long bed. This cover does it all, and works for every application I have. From dump loads, where I store it all the way back to the cab, to tailgating at football games where we lock everything up when we go into the game.
It is designed well, the panels and rubber fold points are quality material and seem to be very durable for many years of use.
I couldnt be happier with it, so far it's the best upgrade I've made to my new Tundra."

"AutoAnything - The BakFlip - G2 cover is great. It does exactly what I asked for and is 99% weather tight. The installation instructions could be a more detailed when it comes to positioning shims and explaining what the extra weather stripping/padding is for but other than that, installation is a snap. It took 45 minuntes, including one false start, for me to have it single-handedly on and fitted perfectly on my 2002 Silverado. While the typical hard fiberglass shell style cover is probably 100% weather proof, the flexibility you get with the BakFlip in not having to remove it for tall/bulky loads or ride with it jacked up like a huge wing definitely makes up for the slight very seepage I got after a one drive in pouring rain at 70 MPH. Quality, looks, fit, and performance are all first class."

"I purchased the BAK Backflip for my son's 2005 Tittan. I thought I would have to install it myself with the boys watching me. To my surprise they grabbed the boxes and went at it. My son and his buddy barely know how to rotate their wheels, but they had it on and looking good in about 45 minutes. They did find that the set of clamps placed closer to the tailgate worked much better than where they had placed them in the begining. They started with them being about 8 inches in from the tailgate, but they had trouble with the latch catching due to the rail system flexing. Once they moved the clamps almost to the end of the rail the lid latched great. By the way they did this on a very windy 25 degree day!"

"We love the BAKflip Tonneau Cover. Functional, sturdy, and easy to use. Great quality and price, could not ask for a better cover. We did add a rubber seal along the bed behind the cab and the tailgate. Some water would enter the bed, might just be our truck (GMC). Other than that, we love it."
