"the cover was a breeze to put on. i had it on in 20 minutes after i got the correct bits to take out the bed screws. looks great works great my only wish is that the rails were a little bit skinnier to allow the in bed trunk to open fully. it opens ok but if you could open it up all the way it would be a lot better"

"The design is great, it does allow full access to the bed. It needs to be adjusted all the way back to prevent the rain channel from draining into the interior of the bed. It has been through 2 weeks of rain, 1500 miles, and offroading. Great product."

Installing BAK Bakflip Tonneau Cover

"We love the Bakflip cover. It makes the truck look nicer and keeps my items safer. Installation took about 2.5 hours for two people. The instructions for installing were not very clear. The pictures which showed step by step were way too small. The instructions gave just barely enough information where we could do a trial and error method until we got it right. Very happy with cover, just need to redesign the instructions."

"This product is great! It could not have been easier to install on our 2008 Honda Ridgeline and it fits like a glove. Looks better and has more functionality than the factory install, and costs about half of the Honda accessory. Operation is a cinch with a quick flip and close and everything is secure and dry. Installation took less than an hour. Thank you."

"Price seems a little steep at first but this cover is a quality piece that looks great & should handle snow & ice much better than the soft covers. One note: we had a soft cover on previously that was mounted on top of the rails. We removed it to install this cover & found that there are scratches on top of the bed rails that are now visible because this cover mounts to the inside of the rails not on top like some of the others."

"Looks great, I get compliments all the time. Very easy to install, I did it by myself, might go a touch quicker with some assistance. So far it appears to be very durable and lokks clean on the bed. The fact that it latches down (doesn't really lock) adds some security just knowing it wont blow around or bounce up and down.
Glad I bought it."

"It is easy to install, installed it by myself (in a 2008 F250) in under 1 hr.
It fits snugly, feels pretty solid, and everything in the bed is secure
and locked in. I chose this cover over a rollup or hard cover because
when it's open it folds up against the rear cab window and doesn't take
up any room at all in the bed (all of the rollups I considered had a
1 foot by 1 foot box in the front of the bed).
The only negative thing I can say is that the rubber seal along the
edges doesn't sit flush because the cover was shipped folded and it
took a set folded. To be fair there isn't any other way they could
ship it. The creases in the seal may make the cover less than waterproof (although the bed seemed dry after it rained); I'm hoping it will smooth out when it's been installed for a few weeks.
Highly recommend this cover."

"The BAKflip Tonneau Cover - G2 Version was the best purchase that I made for my truck yet. I had an ex - tang roll up and that just didn't get it with me. It didn't fit tight enough over the frame of the truck bed, and air getting under it made a flapping noise, even though it was sealed, it still made noice.
The BAKflip Tonneau Cover is quiet, and I like the fact that I can lock it along with the tail gate. That is one of the reasons why I purchased this cover."

"I did a significant amount of research before purchasing this cover. I was looking for a secure, 3 section cover for my F150. Dealing with auto-anything was simple, no problems there. The installation took less than 30 minutes and was easier than I expected.
It has been on my truck for about 2 weeks now and is the best looking tonneau cover that I have seen. It folds up simply so I can load my 4 wheeler. I would make two comments on this cover. First, you can't see out of the rear window when the cover is folded all the way up. Second, you have to lift the cover to shut the tailgate. Those are the only drawbacks that I have observed, but they are easy to swallow considering what you get from this cover. It is waterproof, looks great, and locks securely. Overall I do not have any complaints regarding this cover and highly recommend it."

"The Bakflip tonneau was a great addition to my Chevy Silverado. The ease of installation as well as well as operation was worth the price alone. Added to the appearance and the quality with the flush mount and excellent seal (keeping water/snow out of the bed) makes this product a great buy.

"I was tired of locking my gear inside my '07 F150's regular cab, so I researched lockable, rolling and flip-type covers. I liked the rolltop, but it would take up bed space, right where my motorcycle wheel chock is mounted. The Bak-Flip G2 seemed a better compromise, and an improvement over the original model. Shipping was timely and the products (2 boxes) were well-packed.
Being the intuitive type, I didn't read the instructions. The side rails clamped on easily (though I'd prefer 8 clamps vs the included 6), and the cover literally fell into place on the rails. I adjusted it fore/aft, then tightened down the clamps. Couldn't be much easier...
The cover weighs about 65lbs and smoothes out the ride, especially below a quarter tank of gas. I threw luggage into the bed and took a windy, 500+ mile drive on the Interstate and picked up 1+ mpg, an added bonus. However, it'll take a number of refills before it pays for itself...
One concern is contact between the cab and cover when it's fully flipped up. I stuck the included black rubber shims(?) onto the inside/back of the last panel to pad it. Otherwise, the cover could contact the glass and paint. Also, I might pad the panel-release cables for better grip and visibility."

"I shopped around for a while and this is the best tonneau cover you can get. I am not mechanically inclined and I installed this in less than 45 minutes. The fit is perfect and it looks better than I could have hoped. It is light weight, not cheap feeling light, and easy to open and close. The only con would be the cover requires a locking tailgate because all you have to do is open the tailgate and you have access to open the top. I looked at the roll top covers and for ease of install and quality this is just as good or better and less (slightly) expensive. GREAT COVER"

"I have an '02 Chevy Silverado. The package came with some ABS plastic shims that have tape on the back of them. Specific trucks come with different shims. Just stick them in the spots where you will attach your clamps. Mine had 3 on each side. Hold the rail/track in place and tighten the clamps. Set the cover on the track up towards the cab. Place the two bolts through the holes and hand tighten. Then just unfold the cover and check for alignment. You might need to loosen the two bolts to twist the cover one way or the other to fine tune the operation. Simple. All to do from there is put the drain tubes on. I love this thing! All my tools are completely dry and safe from thieves. It is flush mount/flat. Nothing sticking up looking stupid. I love the contrast between my red truck and this black cover. Sharp!!!"
