Description

There are 2 problems with traditional tonneau covers: they block cargo access or they don't provide enough security. BAK solves both these age-old problems with the G2 version of the BakFlip Tonneau Cover. Flip it back for total bed access and rear window protection, or fold it forward and lock it in place for a solid defense against thieves.

Tonneaus are constantly exposed to harsh weather, so the BakFlip is built to withstand Mother Nature's wrath. Each panel's crafted from aerospace-grade honeycomb core bonded on both sides to a tough ABS laminate. The structure is 100% weather-resistant and strong enough to support 200 lbs of distributed weight. Plus, your BakFlip never fades, warps or cracks.

You won't flip out installing your BakFlip Tonneau Cover G2 Version. Just a few minutes and a few hand tools are all it takes to clamp your new tonneau cover into your truck's bed. Plus, the BakFlip's low profile fits inside the bed rails to eliminate MPG-robbing wind drag. 1-year warranty.

"The rails went on easily and I liked the simple concpet. The cover itself slid into place easily. However a lot of jockeying around with the locking clips had to be done to get the locking cover sections to snap into place. This including moving the hardware clips closer to the locking location and playing with the side to side adjustments available for the clips themselves. Did not seem like the best arrangement Everything else seems to work fine."

"This top looks great & I cant wait to get it latch down properly. I'm like any other guy that opens a new toy, the first thing to get tossed aside are the instructions only to be reviewed when all else fails. In my box there were no instructions & that would not have been an issue except for the latching of the rear panel. I still cannot get it to latch properly."

"The installation took a full hour, but I spent 20 minutes being extra careful with the drain tubes going through my BedRug and then out the pop-outs in the bed of the truck. The tailgate can be opened without first opening the cover, but the cover has to be open when the tailgate closes to keep from crimping the rubber seal. The BakFlip is much better than the roll-top covers with a lock, it's much quieter and stronger. For what I want and need, it's the best way to go."

"It took about 45 mins to install. I would recommend leaving it out in the sun for about an hour to soften the rubber seals a little so that the seal is better along the sides of the bed. One complaint is that the rail towards the back of the bed are not secured and sometimes had a little trouble latching the back panel. I shimmed the rails easily and it works fine but there should be some type of black rubber adhesive shims included in the package. My favorite part about it is the fact that the trunk in the bed still works with this cover."

"I have had a couple of solf tonneau covers that just did not meet all of my needs for access, east of use, and staying put. The BAK Bakflip give meets all my needs by being sturdy, flexible, lockable, and lockable. I needed something that would not limit my use of my truck without taking it off when I had a large load. The BAK Bakflip is a great buy for the buck and looks great on my truck."

"The Bakflip is a good choice if you need to be able to fold up your hard tonneau cover. On another truck I have the Undercover hard tonneau and it is great but is not as convenient as the Bakflip. The Bakflip works for me on this truck better because I tow a gooseneck trailer."

"I installed the BAK Bakflip G2 on my 2007 Ford F-150. The installation was very simple. You really don't need a lot of skill or tools to do it yourself. I am not a big guy but I was able to handle it by myself. The quality is good and it is very functional. My model come with the shims already on the rails but the last latch of the cover toward the tailgate will not catch if you leave that part of the shims on the rails. It normally doesn't rain too much in Southern California but it pour yesterday and it leak some but not too bad. Overall, it is a very good product and very helpful people at BAK."

"I think this is a quality product, should work out fine, but it's early, I'm waiting to see how well it takes care of water and leaking. INSTALLATION The instructions were alright, not great. For instance, I had no clamps, just small rectangular pieces of steel with holes drilled in them. One of them had the bolts and nuts done in a way to show me how to do the rest, which was fairly time consuming and took more tools than the video made it appear (a single wrench?). I found out during the install on the website(since no one answered the phone number listed) that this was normal for my model. It would've been nice if they'd gone the extra effort and setup all of these makeshift clamps, and not just one, and a simple post-it or amendment in the instructions. One of the clips to hold the sliding arms in place (made of cheap plastic) broke before installation was complete. A trusty rubberband is doing the job now. How about some metal? If you have a Tacoma with a factory bedliner, you will be drilling a hole in the bottom, so get your 3/4" bit ready. CONCLUSION I would buy this again, but I'd hope for a little better quality control in the areas I mentioned. It looks great, looks like the truck came from the factory with it installed. I'd recommend it if you're thinking about getting one."

"Great tonneau cover! Easy to install. The only tools needed is a rachet set or a wrench. The only problem I ran into was that the instructions that come with it are generic. It wasn't until I searchd the web that I realized that there are specific instalation instructions for my truck. Once I had them, it took me 20 mins to set up. If you need extra instructions check out the Baklift website."

"The install was easy and quick. Overall, this is a very nice top.It was a bit hard to set it in the right position. Slightly larger (25 - 50%) rubber flaps on the sides would make alignment easier and less critical. The rail weather stripping is also a bit too soft. The sharp edges of the panels bite into the soft rubber. Wider and or higher durameter material should work better. Overall, this is a nice top."

"The instalation was easy for me how ever I have a tie down deck rail system and they only sent me 10 adapter plates and I needed 16 for a 8' bed went to the local welding shop and they made me 6 more but then the bolts were too long for the tie downs to slide and had to break the excess off no big deal just a warning. have had a roll top , like this style better. Autoanything was great to deal with."

"I purchased my G2 Tonneau cover 2 weeks ago and it is absolutely G.R.E.A.T. I love the looks, flexibility, ease of access, security etc... I had a slight issue with the installation at first but after getting a call from the OWNER/DESIGNER of the cover Mr. I....(can't say his name for security reasons) my cover fitted flushed and all folds locked smoothly with no force at all. The Owner of BAK Industires called me personnaly on my cell and even went as far as giving me his HOME number to call him if I had ANY issues at all. He was determined to have a 100% satisfied customer and nothing less. Because of that kind of service and commitment, I will continue to buy BAK Industries products and do business with AutoAnything. I highly recommend the Tonneau cover for the Ridgeline(that's what I have) and hope it works well for all the other truck makes and models. Thadeus"
