My wife and I installed this cover in about an hour on our 1997 chevy CK 1500 ExCab.frame work is good as well as the cover and I also like the fact that the frame is black and blends in with the cover very nice, our old cover was aluminum colored and was very visible ( not atractive )and it was not an Extang BlackMax.. We are very picking with our truck, bought new, still looks it,this cover is a big + for the looks. I would recommend this to anyone.

this is my second extang tonneau cover, the first was on a ZR-2. this one is now on a 1988 chev.cheyenne short box 4wd. the blackmax offers a more convenient access to the front of the box, a big plus in that regard. the last snap was a pain in the corner as the temp. was lower than the optimum 65 plus needed for ease of installation, a minor glitch that could have been avoided had i not waited so long to install the cover. that aside the cover is exactly what i expected i'd buy another. j.r.b.

I've got a 96 Chevy short bed full size 350 5 speed pick up and already had a cover for the bed, but it was 15 yrs old, and I replaced it with the Extang. Easy install. Looks great. The cover needs to be warm to install without any effort. Very happy with my purchase.

I've owned other tonneau's in the past. But the new technology of the Black Max is superior.the tarp is of better quality. Then there's the spring loaded bows that are adjustable and the adjustable snaps on the rails in which move up n down the rails. This keeps you from having to pull so hard to snap it.I can see where all this helps in various climates. The adjustable bows make a nicer look. Then everyone thinks it's a great improvement as far as looks.

Had our auto place install it, due to our age and infirmities. It took them 2-1/2 hours ... although some of that time was due to having to remove weather-stripping from the old tonneau, and enlarge the bed-liner cut-outs for the clamps. It looks terrific, and we are well-pleased.

As a repeat buyer of Xtang, I have always been pleased with the appearance and quality of the covers. Additionally, when I have had to call Customer Service I have found the support above and beyond the call of duty. Living in Minnesota I have a harder time removing and re-installing the cover without heat but that can be expected of anything at 20 below temperatures. I have had them on Ford, Dodge and 2 GMC trucks. Autoanything is an excellant seller providing prompt service on both delivery of product and answering questions.
