The installation instructions need improvement. They are not very clear in regards to front and rear brackets. My previous tonneau cover (sportmaster) was much more user friendly when it came to installation and use. This is the best alternative available sint they no longer manufacture the sportmaster brand.

Seemed lightly scratched on delivery. I feel the universal kit needed finessed a little. Doesn't specify if side rails are right / left or don't matter. I did end up switching sides seemed to fit better. Good features for hot / cold applications. For the product +price point I am happy with the purchase.

I received a tonneau cover as a gift from my wife for my 2008 Chevy Colorado. The cover was delivered within two days of her placing the order. I did have some problems getting the frame together and adjusted to fit the bed, but once I get it set everything was fine until I tried to put the cover on. The cover sent was for a full size truck, obviously too big. I contacted Extang and they shipped the correct one out the next day. I had it in a couple days and it looks great. I would buy amother one in a minute.

I had a "real" drill and snap tonneau on a past truck, and was a bit leery of this "no drill" system. I also have a bedliner on the present truck. Surprise! The Extang Black Max went on in less than an hour, including reading the instructions for a change! When completed, it looked as good as (if not better than) my old style tonneau. I was worried that there was going to be cutting of the bedliner, not so! Fits great, looks even better. The access to the bed without unsnapping anything via the tailgate is really handy. With the economy in the toilet and shock and awe in the automotive business, it's a true pleasure to have a product that exceeds your expectations in both looks and fit. Did I mention it was priced right, too?

Enjoy the looks, installation took about 40min.. It can be a pain to button when its cold out. Over all, dollar for dollar, I rate it a 9 out of 10.

I received the cover sooner than I expected and couldn't wait to install it. I had a 77 F-100 with the same cover and hoped it would install the same. To my surprise whoever installed it on the F-100 used metal screws, so I went to the instructions. Very Easy!! Completed in 20 min. and it looks sweet. THANKS!! Larry K Clarksville,TN
