I have had the same cover on Ford Rangers in past with no issues other than normal snaps in cold weather. I stayed with this style on my new to me full size ride because I like the rounded appearance rather than flat being in snow country.

The cover quality was great but they sent the wrong bows with it so I had to "modify" tweo of them as they were TOO LONG! Extang needs to step up the QC!!

Looks great, well constructed.

Had older style Extang snap type on my last truck. Newer model looks great and is build stronger. Cover is thicker and cross members are stronger. Expect to get great service on new cover as I did on my last. Cover was a little tight on initial installation but expected since it was new.

I have bought one of these before for my other mid size truck. I took it off and installed it on 3 of the same trucks over the years. They last forever, my old one that was 6 years old, still looked new, no rusting snaps, no cracking in the cover, even easy to put it on in the winter cold. Just an all around great product and design. Will purchase another for sure if I buy a new truck.

Cover is easy to install about half an hour, looks good. I take it off a couple times a week and it takes two people to roll it up because there is not a stiff rail on the back to roll it up. I think the summer/winter setting for the snaps are a great idea.

I've had the cover on my truck for about two weeks now, and I can't be happier. It looks great on my truck, was easy to put on (took me about 45 min, by myself), and works like a champ. I have already seen an improvement in my MPG (18-19 MPG without it, 21 with). Will recommend to all my friends.

Evolutionary Improvements Enhance Appearance and Durability

Excellent fit and easily installed. Crossmember design is especially good. Details like snap retainers on back of side rail, corner connections and crossmember attachment sites are well designed and are obviously evolutionary improvements. I still own a 1991 Chevy shortbed bought new on which I installed, in 1991, a cover purchased at Sears which was manufactured by a small Co. eventually aquired by Lund (I learned because I have bought 2 new covers) which has the basics the new Extang unit bought for the 2009 shortbed has but lacks the evolutionary improvement which significantly enhance the cover durability and appearance, especially in the crossmember design and crossmember attachment mechanism. I like the Extang cover a lot and I think in the long run the "attached frame design" like the classic platinum and my old Sears unit will look better longer since the cover portion is replaceable for a "new look" for less than an intergrated folding frame cover model replacement. The Tonneau was received quickly and was packaged well. There were no instructions although the box had some clues in the illustrations showing the features of the rail joints and snap components.

This is the second Extang cover I have bought. I had the first one on a 2006 silverado after three years it still looked great. When I purchased my 2008 crew cab 2500 HD to pull my 5th wheel RV I bought the cover to cover my 5th wheel when I wasn't pulling my Rv. Very good cover, easy to maintain.
