As others have mentioned, the instructions could be better. It took me a couple of hours to install by myself, yes two people make it easier, but it's possible with one. There were many parts I never used and the book did not mention them, so I presume I don't need them. There are other parts that are not mentioned, but a little common sense and you can figure out what and where they go. It comes with an extra set of 'stops' or locking points that are adjustable along the length of the rails, might be nice to have another set in case you have varying size loads and would like to have the cover only open a portion of the way. This seems to be the only unit that allows partial opening. The unit takes up a little more room than desired, especially having a short bed. It hasn't rained yet, so can't comment on the units ability to shed water. Overall I am very happy with it, but time will tell as to the quality of it.

The look of the roll cover is really nice. Installation was more difficult than anticipated since the width of the bed is narrower in the back. Had to shim the front end of the rails or the cover would pop out from under the edges. Still a little stiff at the very end of the unroll motion - might need additional adjustment. Latch release doesn't line-up correctly but I can live with it.

The cover is worth the price. It actually works as described. However, I can't believe how much trouble it was to install. Additional pieces were included in the package with no identification or reference in the instructions. It took quite a bit of adjustments to get the fit correct. My advice, buy the cover and just budget for an extra hour or two for installation.

The cover looks great. The instructions aren't the greatest but with help of video still can be done fairly simple. Kit did not have the shims in it and could have used them. Had to make my own.

Overall, I have been happy with the product but was not happy with the installation instruction booklet and on-line video. There are many discrepancies between the written instructions and the video. Deciding which one is accurate was a bit of a challenge. For example, the video says to "grease the inner rail with the lubricant provided." The written instruction says, "grease the top edge of the inner tracks. WD40 is recommended." Setting the spring on the canister was another problem. The video says to unwind the canister 4 times for short bed and 5 times for long beds. The written instruction says to unwind 6 times for short bed trucks and 8 times for long beds. Attaching the lid was also different. There were also two plastic pieces. Each with double-sided tape that I still have no idea what they are for and there is no mention of them on the video or instruction booklet. I am hoping that the RollBak cover will give me years of trouble-free service. I selected the product because I wanted a tonneau cover that I could stand on in order to reach the top of the truck cab when I wash and wax it.

I purchased the retractable tonneau cover to secure my cargo without restricting bed use. The installation was not difficult. I shopped around and AutoAnything had the best price. I haven't had a chance to test how weather-proof it is yet, but it looks great. I'm happy with the purchase...
