The Pace Edwards PowerGate is awesome! I have a roll up tonneau truck bed cover that locks from the underside inside inside the truck bed. The PowerGate allows me to secure my truck bed when I lock my truck doors. The Powergate is connected to the driver's automatic door lock. I lock my truck's doors, the PowerGate engages, and when I unlock the driver's door, it disengages. I never worry about the security of my truck bed. It was easy to install and durable.

I am very pleased with the PowerGate Tailgate lock. It's a very high quality product and came with everything needed including a dual relay wiring harness with plenty of wire for my crew cab install. They sent the wrong installation instructions but in researching the product I had already downloaded the proper instructions. The price was lowest from Autoanything I had found.

Installation connectors used to tie into the wiring in the driver's door did not provide a good connection. Spent 30 minutes trying to get them to work consistently, stripped the wires, wrapped and taped connections. I have a 2007 Classic body style Silverado, was sent a kit for 2006, don't know if that is the difference but had to bend the stainless steel wire so it would completely engage and "lock" the handle. Now that it is in I am very pleased with the way it looks and works.

This is a really nice product. Works really well. The only problem i see with it is if you know how to take the cover off the tailgate handle this can be easily unlocked.

Took a couple hours to install and so far, worth every minute. So nice to lock up my truck and know the tailgate is locked up, too. Have seen where some people have had issues with locks that only lock one side of the tailgate but this design prevents both sides from opening when locked. Had to call customer support due to a fit issue and they handled the situation like pros. Very pleased with the product!!

The item arrived on time as they promised. Was ready to start installation as soon as it arrived. Read most of the instructions (like guys do) and unpacked every thing. Instructions where straight forward. The hardest part of the whole instalation was getting the wiring harness thru the firewall and not making it look like a rats nest. Got everything hooked up and tried it out for the first time. Worked great for several days but stopped working when I tried to unlock tailgate. Found that the wire splicers inside the door were not making good contact. Modified the wire splicer and every thing is working perfect!!!!!!!! Great producted!!!!! Mark from Texas

I'd rate the installation difficulty a high medium. Once installed there's no change in appearance. When the driver's door locks....the tailgate locks.

I recently purchased a Pace Edwards Bedlocker Tonneau Cover and Powergate and have had some time now to realize the benefits of this package. It has been great to be able to lock up my belongings, out of site, and have some confidence that it will be their when I return to my truck. You can lock the tailgate with the keyless entry control that comes with your vehicle. Now I have some protection when I leave my truck parked in a public place. We just returned from a trip and it was really nice to have the bed cover. It is very easily accessible with just a push of a button, and is also waterproof to keep your things dry. Although I did not install it myself, it was not too expensive to have it installed by a truck accessory shop, (about $200.00). I would Highly recommend the Pace Edwards Bedlocker Tonneau Cover and Powergate to anyone that wants the best cover on the market. I did my research and am very pleased with my purchase.
