Just got it installed and works great. Replaced key lock with Pace Edwards Power Lock, what a difference, no more fumbling to find right key!

The power lock works great but the installation instructions are complete crap. It may be better for other makes or other years but for my 2013 Silverado, the wiring connection instructions were wrong. The wire colors in the instructions are not the same as on the truck. But after you figure out which wires you need to patch into, it isn't so bad. I posted a photo of the wires that I needed to patch into on my truck.

If you buy this product you may as well forget the instructions in the manual and go straight to costumer service because the wiring recomendations are wrong and they can give you and easier instalation method. the first one I bought didn't work but I got another one that works fine even with the AMI chrome tailgate handle, it just needed a little bit of filing in a discrete place. I am happy with the way it functions and the security it gives me but it was a pain in the neck to install

The idea of the tying the tailgate in to your power locks is an excellent idea, but the instructions need more detail to eliminate any confusion with where exactly you need to tie in to the power locks wires. This was my only issue. For my 2010 Chevy Silverado the instructions stated to locate the violet and tan wires, which I did at first. But apparently it wasn't in the correct location.

Great deal with Autoanything. I don't have it fully install yet. Running all the wiring was a breeze. The fun part is running the wiring to the door panel which I found that the color code they say in the instructions don't match my truck. So I have some searching to do to hook them up correctly with the door locks. Overall, I'm going to very please with this product.

Installation would have been made easier with door panel removal instructions. Also the wire colors were wrong for my truck. Functionally the lock works great but would feel More secure if it held the handle more solidly.

Very cool device. Installation was a pain at times. The actual gate lock mechanism was easy. Wiring it in was not. Trying to get the wire through the firewall was a nightmare. here is a little advice. Get the stiffest coat hanger around. Cut it so it is about two feet long. Bend the tip over itself so there are no sharp points. Working from within the cab push the hanger through the firewall rubber grommet next to the wire loom. Have someone watching the progress of the hanger as it rides along the inside of the rubber grommet. Push it until it emerges from grommet. Cut ends off the two wires from the lock mechanism. Tape the two wires to coat hanger and pull through firewall. Rest is easy.
