The cover is great, this is the second one I have purchased for my trucks. I don't know if the dimensions on the 2012 Tacoma changes a little, or if the rolltop I got is a tad too long, but the rolltop cover is very tight and I have to really put some effort into closing the tailgate to get it fully closed. It still works - and I do like the solidness of the cover a lot,

Great product. Fast shipping. Easy install with both written instructions (very complete) and a video on youtube of the install. Did it by myself, but it was on a 2010 toyota tacoma trd short bed which as to be the littlest/lightest cover they produce, and it was still pretty darn heavy. As a note: everywhere in the directions/video it says "have to use shims... but to achieve the correct measurments I could not use any. Might just be my specific install or just me! Works and looks great.

Overall installation went well. The grommets for my composite bed were the 1" size. The drain tube would not fit through the 1" grommets without a little whittling. The overall look is good except the cheesy looking lock cover.

This is a great product though it took 3 installs to get the seal that I wanted. That is, when tightening the bolts the rails tended to flare-up to the inside thus slightly raising the cover from the tailgate. I worked with the shims that were included but instead of using on the sides of the bolts, I put mine above the bolts which caused the rails to tilt downward slightly to enable the cover to hug the tailgate and achieve the desired seal. I stand on mine to take photos of property and it holds-up fine and resists scuffing.
