First, contrary to what Rep says, you DO lose the use of your utility bars using this cover. The cab side is the only one not blocked. THe instructions are SOO off. You have to have the ORANGE kit to install and they do not give you enough peices for a good fit, so you have to call and request a second one. Trying to adjust for perfect fit is painful. On the attachment brackets, use the top holes!! I'm better than average at mechanics, not a novice.

Due to the poor installation instructions,I had a hell of a time trying to install the Revolution Tonneau Cover on a 2012 Toyota Tacoma, called Autoanything for assistance but all they could do for me was to referred me to a local vendor and ask them for help with the installation. I contacted the local vendor Autoanything recommended and the vendor said that it's a kinda tricky process to install the Revolution Tonneau Cover so they installed it for me for a additional price. After they installed it, I noticed that the front corners of the truck bed still had gaps cause the seals didn't contact the bed properly and the front and rear seals appears to be coming off the tonneau cover frames cause the back to back tape didn't stick too good. I showed the vendor the problem but they said that that's the best they could do, but since I ordered the tonneau cover on-line I need to contact Autoanything for any other concerns. Actually the cover looks kinda nice when fully covered on the truck bed and hopefully in the long run I'll save some $ on gas with the Revolution Tonneau Cover installed... even if it leaks.

FINISHED APPEARANCE OF COVER IS GREAT. INSTALLATION OF TRACKS TO HOLD COVER NEEDS TO BE REWORKED. THE 6 BRACKETTS TO HOLD THE COVER TIGHT TO THE BED HAD TO BE REDRILLED TO BE ABLE TO BRING THE TRACKS DOWN THE LAST QUARTER INCH. THE BOLTS FOR THE FRONT TWO BRACKETS ARE TO LONG AND HAD TO BE REWORKED.

The cover looks great now that it is installed but it was a bumpy road getting it there. The bed rails on my Tacoma are utilized in the installation which make it slightly different than other trucks. The brackets that came with the kit were different than the instructions that were provided. On the truck, the bed at the tailgate end narrows slightly causing some alignment issues if you don't know to use a spacer bracket (hence having correct instructions is crucial). After I called, Extang sent the correct instructions. I also had to cut off a portion of the plastic bed rail cap that came with the truck to help the rails provided with the cover fit more flush at the same tailgate location. It was not as easy as I hoped but after all was said and done, I like the cover. It has already helped gas mileage and looks great.
