Would have given it 5 stars but it is too short to provide adequate box coverage. Barely 1/2 inch front and back, another inch would have made it close to water proof.

A coworker had a different model of tonneau cover suggested I look into the Extang Encore model. I like the different features like loading from the front or rear. Locking the cover with my truck key; don't have to mess with another key. Well built and easy to install.

I like the basic design of the cover, but I think I could have found the same quality at a better price. The cover is advertised to fit my year and bed size, 2016 Chevy Silverado 1500 6.6' bed but it comes up a little short. Extang claims that it is weather proof but it leaks a little. I hope in the future it doesn't get worst. The quality of the rain gutters is a bit weak . I like the look and front panel opening is a good idea but I'm disappointed. For $900.00 you could do better.

As usual, Autoanything.com provided a very pleasurable purchasing experience with excellent advice and very prompt shipping, The Extang EnCore is very easy to install. There were 4 shims that were shown in the installation video that were not included in the box that are required to properly install the EnCore on GM trucks. I contacted Extang and after three attempts I finally got the correct parts. Had these parts been included with the original shipment I would have given the cover 5 stars.

I would have probably given it a 4 star or higher but the lock up front quit locking about two weeks after I put it on. Have to contact Extang to see if I can get a new lock assembly. Took longer than 20 minutes to put it in. I had an under the rail liner in the truck. It was about 35 degrees out and I finally figured out how to cut the liner up in the front corners. Get a heat gun and warm your liner up until the utility knife slides right through it with a little pressure. top leaks a bit.

Haven't had it long enuf to rate it's practicality, but for quality of build, ease of install and water proofing, I'll give it five stars.

The cover was overall pretty simple to install. It looks great on my truck. The directions for the locking system were straight forward but left out the part about a yellow seal on the internal side of the lock that had to be removed in order for the locking capability to work. Most areas of the cover seal well but on the cab side of the cover it still seems to leak a bit. I tried applying the foam seal but that didn't last long. Overall quality cover but wish it would seal tight for the $.
