BAK BakFlip Tonneau Cover - G2 Version

Reviewed By Walt S (Hatfield, PA) Reviewed for a 1997 Dodge Dakota —8/7/2009 12:10 PM

This cover is awesome ! I used to have a Dodge "Soft Top" with the snaps. Only problem was that if the temperature dropped below 80 deg. you couldn't resnap them. I had to physically crawl inside the truck bed to remove objects. With this cover, you pull the cords and the latches disengage (on every panel except the third). Well built out of aluminum and durable. Minor rub was that some of the edges were unfinished (sharp) and the drilled holes still had flashing on them. I matched the cover up with the Pop & Lock Tailgate lock so now I have a nice secure area to place valuables. I also purchased separately from AA, the BAK Bed X-Tender, which when rotated, prevents all the valuables in the truck bed from sliding.

tri-fold cover

Reviewed By Stephen H (ALHAMBRA, IL) Reviewed for a 2008 Dodge Dakota —10/4/2017 6:11 AM

The cover fit after removing accessory rails that were factory installed on my pickup truck, clamps would not work on the rail edges, once rails were removed the cover worked as designed, much more frendly to use than the snap closures which could be painful in winter when cold outside, overall happy with my purchase.

Better than a fiberglass cap

Reviewed By Paul H (PARKVILLE, MD) Reviewed for a 2003 Dodge Dakota —8/26/2017 10:26 AM

The fiberglass cap did not go up high enough for some things we transport occasionally. This solves the problem by folding or taking it off as needed.
