This was a great addition to the truck. It took about 1 hour to install. Watch the videos on line, it helps a lot. I would recommend this cover to anyone. It fit perfectly on my 2009 F150.

2009 F150 6.5ft. bed w/plastic bedliner roll-top installation

Reviewed By Kristian H (Carrollton, TX) Reviewed for a 2009 Ford F-150 —12/28/2010 2:57 PM

This is a nice roll top bed cover. I did have to wait to have another clamp delivered as the original shipment only contained 5.5 clamps instead of six. I would like to see some more spacers included as I used all of mine. Except for my unique issues below, the installation is quite easy. I completed it by myself except for lifting the canister on the truck. I installed a plastic bedliner on my truck when I bought it because actually use my truck as a utility vehicle and would have destroyed my bed without it. The thick walls of the liner at the front of the bed (where it meets the cab) and the along the walls did pose a few issues. There is about a one inch front lip on the canister where it should overlay the front of the bed. I had to use some bar clamps to suck the canister forward against the front of the bed so the canister lip would meet the top of the bed as well as allow the side rails to not hang over the tailgate more than 3/8 inch per the instuctions. This would not have been an issue without the bedliner. Also, I had to trim out the bedliner at five of the six clamping locations because ~1/16 thickness of the liner would not allow the clamps to sit flush against the side of the truck bed walls. Once I cut out the liner, they fit perfectly. I haven't fit the drained hoses yet, still have to figure out the best way to do that with the liner since the grommets will not fit into the corregated sides. We had a light freeze here Christmas night and I had a difficult time closing the cover the following morning as I left it open all night. Once it warmed up, it closed fine. So far, I really like the product.

Quality director reviews Jack rabbit quality

Having recieved my JR last week, I spent the several hours Sunday afternoon assembling it to my F150. Product packaging was appropriate-no apparent damage to components during shipment. All parts were present on the bill of material which is a good thing to know early in the process. Having read the assembly instructions several times I began the assembly process. I found the instructions to be adequate. Having looked at the major components, I was pleased with the quality level. It was what I had expected and hoped to receive. However, upon further inspection of my Explorer rails, I noticed an indentation on the top outboard radius. This was not shipping damage nor consumer handling damage. This was a "ding" that had been painted over @ Pace Edwards. Clearly damage was to the metal, after the extrusion process and before paint. I even looked at the damaged spot on the rail under 10X magnification. It confirmed the before paint scenario. Bottom line, I was not happy with this factory damage but reluctantly completed the assembly. We were leaving on vacation the following morning and had to have the ability to lock our belongings in the truck bed. So bottom line on my product review........ I really like this product - with the exception of the damaged premium priced explorer rail. The product looks top shelf. The retractable top is a real nice design. Looks as though it was custom designed for my black Platinum F150. For some reason however, I can't get it to retract all the way into the canister without disengaging the lock mechanism at every latch point. The following day I called Pace Edwards direct and reported the ding in the rail. They will replace but I really do not want to disassemble at this juncture. As far as AutoAnything feedback - you have a good service and I will certainly do additional business with you in the future.
