Stepside Bed

Reviewed By Jason M (Spring, TX) Reviewed for a 2001 GMC Sierra —1/8/2015 2:30 AM

Fit was spot on when complete. Tight cover after adjustment and install wasn't bad by myself. The directions, while not 100% dumb proof are clear enough for average mech. know how to decipher. One point I would like to share about install that is not noted is make sure the side rails are mounted high enough for the bulkhead cross support to slide into rails. I have a bed liner that wraps over top of the bulkhead so I had to take that into consideration to ensure fit, but very good for price.

All-around a Five-Star product

Reviewed By Robert M (CHICAGO, IL) Reviewed for a 2001 GMC Sierra —7/16/2013 6:13 AM

I just replaced a TruXedo installed in 2001. It lasted 12 years. The design of the replacement is vastly improved overall. It was a cinch to install it, it looks great and seals tight all around. I could not be more pleased with my investment in a vital part of my farm operation. I'll be very happy if my GMC Sierra lasts as long as the TruXedo! No better product on the market!

Seal and Peal

Reviewed By William F (Macon, GA) Reviewed for a 2001 GMC Sierra —8/10/2012 12:46 PM

Nice looking cover. The "zip Lock" function seems to work pretty well...definitely better than snaps, but don't know about the long term. The cross bar on the very back is more difficult to remove (so you can load thing when the bed is uncovered) than others I have owned, and there doesn't seem to be a way to adjust the length so it stays tight in varying temperatures. Overall, I am happy with it after 2 weeks of ownership.
