BAK BAKFlip G2 Tonneau Cover Reviews

Well designed and engineered cover

The cover worked as advertised. Installation was easy (1/2 hour) and the fit and finish was very good. The cover is overpriced by about $200 but one cannot argue with the quality and ease of installation. It is mostly water tight except in extreme weather conditions. Overall I like it.

2008 Honda Ridgeline----Cary N.C.

Recently had my Pop and Lock installed with a Bak-Flip F1 bed cover. The lock looks like it was factory installed, and works very well. One of the main things I wanted to do was safely secure all items in truck bed while maximizing my interior space. I would recommend this lock to anyone.

Bakflip HD for Honda Ridgeline

I haven't had it long, but I like it so far. As far as tonneau covers go, the Bakflip models appear to one of the most practical as you can easily have access to the bulk of the bed. However, please note there is one final section panel that does not flip up unless you completely take off the cover. Not a big deal for most projects, however it is misleading to say you'll have complete access when folded. Installation was very easy. It utilizes the existing bolts and tie downs of the Honda. The downside is you lose the upper tie downs (towards the cab) in order to mount the rails. Also, you do have to drill (self-tapping screws provided) a couple of screws near the tailgate if you want the track to be secured on that end. It was not a big deal to me as it a "truck" as far as I'm concerned. However, those folks who like to keep their vehicles in pristine condition may cringe a bit at this step. Haven't really had a chance to to test how water proof it is, but the seals on the side appear to make very good contact with side of bed. I expect it will do fairly well. The look is great! It looks very industrial/cool. Others have commented on the rear corners (near tailgate); that they look a bit unfinished. It really isn't too bad in the grand scheme of things. The one thing that is a bit of a downside is opening the Honda trunk. The rails do restrict full opening. I don't think it will be a major deal (still able to get golf clubs in and out pretty easily); however, it might be a pain if you were always loading and pulling out heavy items. Overall, I am very pleased with the cover and I think it will hold up well over the years.
