They might look the same, but the difference between a genuine Swiss watch and a back alley trench coat counterfeit is more than skin deep. The same holds true for tonneau covers. Give your truck bed the timeless style and precision function of a fine timepiece with the BAK Roll-X Tonneau Cover.
Crafted from heavy-duty hinged aluminum panels covered in premium-grade vinyl, this ingenious tonneau is like nothing else on the road. You get the look of a classic tonneau, the security of a hard cover and the full bed access of a folding top—all in one cover.
The clever design not only boasts a nearly invisible profile, it rolls up from the tailgate for complete bed access. And, this rolling tonneau shoulders a hefty 400 lbs, though it weighs in at a featherweight 45 lbs. And best yet, BAK backs your Roll-X Tonneau Cover with a 1-year warranty.

The cover works as advertised and as shown on video. Only problem is tailgate is not sealed well enough to keep out gravel road dust. Had local bodyshop install as I didn't have time. Shop said instructions were pathetic. Other than that, cover is excellent.

I was trying to find a secure, sleek looking cover that was water tight and allowed me the flexibility to completely open up my truck bed and would work with my bed extender-this is the perfect cover. The interconnecting heavy aluminum cross rails are extremely well engineered, keep the bed water tight and contents secure. Installation took about 30 minutes with just one person. Entire unit appears really well made.

I have had this cover for four months now which I feel is enough time to give a fair review. I have a 2006 gmc Sierra 1500. When I first installed the cover it fit terrible. Come to find out after a week of emailing pics and being told numerous times by back industries that someone would help me I found out from them that this cover is universal for 2006 - newer body styles. In order to fit my truck properly they had to send different thinner side seals and thicker front seal.

Fairly easy to install. Packaging does not include shims & are a must. Adjusted a few times and one section would lift up when on the highway. Contacted BAK & they suggested more shims which did not work. After taking some measurements one of the rails was defective & only half of the material needed to hold down cover at leading edge was there to grab the cover. They shipped two more rails and will receive them in a few days. Rattles when driving down the road. Overall look else where.

This cover works great to keep items dry and secure. It is a great improvement over the rollup velcro covers I've used in the past. It does require shimming the side rails inward to the center of the bed to securely latch the individual bars. In other words, the cover seems to be 1/2" narrower than the truck box even with bed rail caps. Other reason I'm giving this 4 stars is that while there is a strap to secure the rolled up cover, there is no mating female clip! Makes the straps useless.

I like the cover a lot and its fits well. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star was because the instruction were worthless and if my brother n law hadn't already installed one I would have had to call for help.

I purchased this cover for my 2014 Dodge Ram 1500. Delivery was quick, and installation was a breeze. The fit and finish is top notch also. Some have stated that the front seal was not thick enough. Mine was pretty close. The truck sat outside in a severe storm with 70mph winds and I had very little water in the bed. If there was a rail/clamp along the leading edge you could make it water tight.

I previously had a bakflip f1 on my last truck and it was brick house tough, but a shade on the heavy side for the wife to handle. Now on to the rollx so far great cover directions are pretty bad but through you tube and common sense it comes together in less than an hour. Water is not an issue the day I installed it we had a down pour and a few drops had gotten through to the bed when I checked it in the morning. since the first day its never leaked a drop. Great cover well worth the money.
