Instructions have you tighten down side rails, go through four other steps THEN check tailgate seal - I recommend you install side rails loosely, then check tailgate seal, adjust side rails to get good seal THEN tighten them into place and finish the install. I got 1/2 cup water in bed after a touchless carwash today - hardly worth mentioning. Smooth looking cover with low maintenance. Would SOLIDLY recommend without doubt.

My mother was actually very impressed and is thinking of getting one for my grandfather who is semi-disabled. It is easy to use and looks great. I am confident that anything in the back of my truck will be protected from the weather and safe to leave locked up. FYI: if you have a 2005 Colorado Extended cab and it came with the dealerships custom bed liner (pops in and out) you will have to remove it before installation or the canister will not fit correctly. That is really the only complaint we have about it, but you can't have everything right? Overall just very happy with the tonneau cover!

So far the water proofing is not what i expected, howver i attest that to the design of my truck rails. they arent that smooth to begin with. Installation was a breze. However one screw did not line up with the existing hardware of the truck. Good fit, locks tight, and looks great. No complaints. (FYI; this cover uses the tie down rails for instalation, and you will not be able to use your ancohrs after this install)

Some steps could have used a few pictures to help show what they were talking about.Despite this, the American Roll Cover is a fantastic product. As soon as you take it out of the box you can tell it's made of high-class material and is extremely durable. It flows very well with my black F150 and I've gotten numerous compliments on looks alone already. It comes with weatherstripping to prevent rain, but I didn't install it. The first day it was on I ran it through a touchless car wash and not a single drop of water was in the bed. Amazing bedcover, and very recommended!

I did have a small problem with the locking mechanism sticking before I even put the tonneau on and once after. I do like the fact that it locks and so does my tailgate. We will see how it goes with the lock. It would have been nice to have a little bit of lube/rubber protector included. The main complaint I have is that the warranty has to be sent within 14 days of purchase. I order the tonneau on line it took that long to ship it. I sent the warranty in anyway especially cause of the lock. Still, the design is great and its worth the money.
