Nice chest. Best option for newer short bed pickups with limited space in front of wheel well. The only thing better would have been the same chest in a 58X14x13 to go all the way across the bed.

This Utility Chest is sturdy and well constructed. I purchased it to carry my items that I sell at weekend shows. I have no fear of water getting into it and my items not being protected. Another GREAT feature is the ability to put two locks on the lid to prevent people from opening it and removing the contents. I'm well pleased with this product and highly recommend it.

I bought this utility chest as a present for my dad on Father's Day. He just bought a 2012 Surburban and was thinking of building a storage chest for the back. When he opened the box and saw the chest, he immediately began measuring it to see if it would fit in the back of his Surburban. By Sundya evening, he had the chest out in the truck and was filling it up with all of his tools. He loved it. So, I did too!!! What a perfect fit!!!

I'm most pleased with my DeeZee utility chest. The construction is solid and the lid is well hinged and has a retaining wire to keep it in it's open position without the lid flopping back. I chose this to house all my towing equipment in the bed of my pickup so it would not be banging around and causing damage. The large dimensions accomodate my larger pieces that no other chest could house.

I WAS LOOOKING FOR A SMALLER TOOL CHEST FOR MY NEW TRUCK. I WANTED S SMALL ON FOR THE FRONT OF THE BED. I HAVE A SHELL ON THE TRUCK, SO I DID NOT WANT A METAL BOX. THIS DEE ZEE WAS JUST PERFECT FOR MY NEEDS. IT'S MADE WELL AND HAS WORKED OUT JUST GREAT! ALAN

Well built. I especially like that there are no metal parts that are exposed to rain (corrosion). Two things I'd like, in addition (nice, but not necessary): 1) A mama-bear size (medium) 2) A smooth-lid model, or a cover for the existing lid. (If it's kept in the open bed of a truck, the depressions collect leaves and water.) I use either of the two sizes, depending on the job or other uses of the truck bed. Good, secure, storage/work chests.

How do I anchor it to the truck bed? I do not see any way except to drill holes.

Hello. This item is a universal product made to fit on your garage, shop or a vehicle trunk. If you are putting this on a truck you will have to modify this so this will not move. This item is not a vehicle specific chest like our Truck tool boxes that we carry.flag Accept Answer
