The cost to add the OEM unit was way too high and required the dealership price for installation labor. So we went with this CURT hitch that we could install ourselves. It was an excellent choice. Be aware that this takes a bit of work to get in place because of weight and is so much easier to install with a partner. This was a great investment and our Bike Rack easily attaches to the back. It is mounted below the spare and ground clearance is not reduced. I think it looks nicer than the OEM units which require a complete change of the bumper and bumper cover on a Toyota Highlander. This is an excellent choice for anyone looking for a sturdy hitch."
