It's a fairly sturdy piece of steel, perfect fit

2013 Challenger R/T Classic with aftermarket exhaust. Perfect fit. You can do it by yourself but it's beneficial to have a second person to help hold the hitch up while you get a bolt or two started. The face of the receiver sits about 8" inward from the outer edge of the rear bumper so you need a fairly long (and tall) ball mount (I got a 5 1/4" x 10"). I wish the safety chain loops were made from flat bar as these look like they'd bend if the safety chains were ever really "used".

REVIEW OF ALUMINUM HITCH

I HAVE NOT USED THE HITCH BAR YET BUT BELIEVE THAT IT WILL BE AS STRONG AND USEFUL AS THE STEEL ONE IT IS REPLACING.

Front mount hitch

Reviewed By jimmy s (REDDING, CA) Reviewed for a 2017 Dodge Ram —7/13/2017 11:28 AM

Had read that it was difficult or tricky to mount. A friend (very mechanical) and I installed it in about 20 minutes. Looks good on my pickup. I intend to build and install a t-bar tack to haul Kayaks in front of my 5th. Wheel.
