2006 Liberty - without a hitch!!!

"Simple as could be. Of course the hardest thing was holding it up in place to put the bolts in. If you have a Liberty the frame is ready to go. Just thread the bolts right into the frame. It is already threaded for them. Shipping was great. Got here fast and in great condition."

"I bought a Hidden Hitch for my Ford Escape so I could add a Thule bike rack. The hitch was moderately easy to install. It took more like an hour (instead of the estimated 20 minutes) to install it onto my Escape. But it was well worth the time spent as it is barely visible. It has the strength to tow vehicles and boats, but I'll be using it mainly for bike and ski/snowboard racks. I definitely recommend this product. AutoAnything shipped it to me in less than two days, but it literally came without any packaging and so there were a few minor scratches in its paint, but it's hidden so it doesn't really make any difference. Excellent value, awesome product, and extremely fast shipping from AutoAnything!"

Hitch with a hitch

"The hitch fit as advertised; no drilling required. Instructions showed a channel iron frame rail for my Montero which is actually retangular making it hard to fish the horizontal bolts through the frame. Fortunately, bolt fishes were furnished with the kit. As other reviewers have pointed out, packaging was non-existant. I will have to repaint the hitch as it arrived with numerous mars, scratches and dings. A little wrapping paper would make this product more pleasing on arrival. Basically, I'm satisfied with the product at the price."

"The hitch fits in such a way that it does not protrude from the rear of the vehicle. The bike rack installs easily onto the hitch and the bikes are even easier to pop onto the rack. It has made life much easier for our family. We now enjoy bike riding as a family without the aggravation of wondering how to load the bikes onto our vehicle without getting aggravated and frustrated. This hitch was one of our smartest purchases. We highly recommend it."

"I purchased my astro new in 1994 and had a hitch installed right away. After 300,000 miles and a lot of salt it rusted and broke off. I then purchased the hidden hitch, and the experience has been pleasant. The install went easy and without a "hitch". I mainly use the van now for pulling my boat and utility trailer, and because of fuel costs, I only put on a couple of thousand miles per year. The hidden hitch should outlast my vehicle."

Hitch fine... installation tougher on CR-V

"The hitch is of good quality and fit well. The problem comes with installation. The holes in the Honda CRV frame are too small to accommodate the head of the carriage bolts and the shim... The directions say to just file the hole bigger...not so easily done. I solved the problem by grinding the edge of the bolts a bit smaller. Kit would be improved if they did this for you."

"The hitch itself installed quite easily onto the CRV. The only adjustments needed were to slightly widen the holes in the body-frame so taht the anchors would fit in; and to lower the exhaust a little (which almost seemed unecessary). The ordering and shipping was also great; it arrived very quickly without needing to go for the really quick shipping."

"Hidden Hitch was shipped (2x!) with no packaging and arrived with significant paint off the receiver. Please note that even though this is rated as a Class III, its designation is for class II weights if that is what your vehicle is supposed to be able to handle."
