"Received my hitch without a box, like everyone else, but all the parts were there. I read the instructions and I'm sure I could have mounted it myself but decided to let Pep Boys do it for $50. I added my Thule hitch-mount bike rack and it works great. I might even tow a small trailer...someday."

"For a 2006 model BMW X3. The plastic molding flange had more screws holding it in place than the instructions noted and the screws inside the tire well were hard to remove/re-install for someone with large hands. Once the flange was removed, it was also easier to remove a plastic spacer (not shown on the instructions) to get to the bumber nuts. Once the flange was removed, the installation of the hitch was easy. However, the flange required significant cutting and shaping upon re-installation so it did not interfere with the hitch. Overall, it took 3 hours to install but the hitch is hidden underneath the flange and works great. I would recommend the hitch, although I think it may need some more detailed instructions."

"I Installed this Hitch on My 08 honda fit. I was away from home so I didn't have all my regular tools however I was able borrow a small tool kit from one of my friends and that was all I needed. Its held on with bolts and one U-bolt. Installation was only about 15 to 20 min. Most of that was trying to figure out out to Hold the skid plate and hitch up and use the rachet at the same time, that part was the worst wasn't hard just a bit akward. Overall I like the hitch. I'm the only one I've seen with a Hitch on a Fit so far. I have a hitch mounted basket and works well just dont put a lot of weight on the rear the suspention isn't the best. I only had a few inches between my rear time and wheel well but my car was loaded pretty full and the basket on the back."

"I was very satisfied with the hitch itself but the condition was poor. There were several scratches and spots where the paint was rubbed off. It actually looked like the hitch had been returned by someone. It was also shipped as-is and not in a box so all of the stickers were affixed directly onto the hitch. It was a hassle to remove the stickers completely. It took longer to remove the stickers than it took to install the hitch."

"This hitch was easy to install, met my expectations. You do need to have a 1/2 inch or 3/4 inch drive socket set with a 6 or 10 inch extention for the bollt by the muffler. The only issue was the instructions said to remove the hold down bracket and give it to the customer, it took me a few minutes to figure out what a hold down bracket is. No photos or description. It finally dawned on me they were talking abourt. One simple additional drawing and the whole deal would be rated excellant."

"Everything about the installation is smooth except both the bolt heads and the reinforcement braces are too wide to fit through the precut holes in the frame. The installation instructions do not address this liklihood. The options are either to drill out the frame holes or grind the bolt heads and the braces. If these components were more specifically designed the installation would take the 20-25 minutes that they suggest."

"I was very pleased with the purchase of my Draw Tite Hitch. It promptly arrived from AutoAnything within two days of purchase. I was somewhat surprised that the hitch was not packaged in any way. All hardware (nuts, bolts, washers) were taped to the hitch. With the help of my neighbor and an air wrench we installed the hitch in approximately 45-60 minutes. The instructions were clear and it only required the use of the hardware provided in shipment. I recommend that you have metric sockets on hand to expedite the installation process. I have towed my boat on several occassions since installing the hitch and it tows great! I would recommend this product and AutoAnything to others."
