I had shoulder replacement surgery a couple of months ago, but with the aid of my motorcycle jack to position the hitch, I installed it with little difficulty. The only issue I had was torquing it with a bum shoulder. Everything went right together.

Fast service and a great price but installation of product was very difficult and would have been next to impossible without access to a car lift. Finally had to bend part to the hitch to get it into place. This took several tries and a lot of strain until it was finally get in place. Once in place it bolted in nicely and has worked great.

The hitch fit our Mazda 5 perfectly and it looks great too. The installation instructions were a bit sparse...it was not clear how to use the spring wire thing to fish the bolts into the bumper...but once I figured that out, things went smoothly. It would be nice if the ordering instructions told you what drill bit size you would need (1/2").

It is a somewhat tricky instalation threading the bolts through the box beam but easily doable with patience. When buying, I was concerned about reviews of 'other' hitches saying the holes didn't line up well - my Mustang installation was a perfect fir.

Hi, does it use a 1/2" pin?
Answered by Nathan S. — Thursday at 8:07 AM
Hi, A Class I/II hitch like the one for your Prius will use a 1/2" pin. The larger hitches (Class III/IV) found on full-sized cars, trucks and SUV's use a 5/8" pin.

does the Hyundai Elantra 03 Hitch come with the wiring set? Thx
Answered by Elizabeth C. — Jun 22, 2012 1:34 PM
Thank you for contacting AutoAnything. The wiring would need to be purchased separately and does not come with the hitch. There is normally a t-connector available that is made specifically for your vehicle, but it appears as though that is not an option in the case of the 2003 Hyundai. Any trailer shop should be able to wire the trailer lights for you.
