Highlander hitch

Posted on 08/28/2008 by Michael R. - 2004 Toyota Highlander (Apple Valley,MN)

6 of 6 people found the following review helpful.

"I was very impressed with the quality, design, and fit of the Curt hitch for my 2004 Toyota Highlander. It arrived within a couple of days after ordering, and was well-packaged and in perfect condition. All required hardware was included. I've never installed a hitch before, but it was a breeze. Once a couple of Toyota tie-down brackets were removed, the hitch lifted into place and was perfectly aligned with the predrilled holes on the frame. Six bolts later and the hitch was installed. My only minor complaint was with the hitch receiver pin - the powder coating on the hitch itself partly ran down into the pin hole, preventing the pin from being able to be pushed through. A few seconds with the Dremel enlarged the opening and fixed the problem. The entire install took about 20 minutes. Very happy with the end result. Thank you."

"They delivered on time and in excellent packaging. I installed in 30 minutes, but could have done it 15 I hadn't tried to follow their directions. The only negative is that they said it was hidden when I called them, but it is not hidden. But it doesn't appear for my 07 Honda Odyssey, that a hidden was actually available. They should have just said that. GDB"

"Hitch is nice and was pretty easy to install....once I used my jack to re-bend it. Looks like UPS bent the heck out of it in shipping and none of the holes would line up correctly. If I didn't have to rebend it, would have taken about 30min to install, instead it took me 2 hours. I had to drop the exhaust of the hangers for the Murano"

Curt Hitch for Suzuki Areo SX

Posted on 08/14/2008 by Richard J. - 2006 Suzuki Aerio SX (Mesa,AZ)

6 of 8 people found the following review helpful.

"This Hitch was an easy install if you have a good 1/2" drill bit to enlarge the exiting holes in the bumper frame metal. The rest was easy using drain holes in the spare tire pan, however I found it easier to leave the two rubber plugs in and drill through their centers with a 3/8" bit. This kept the area sealed and kept the bolts steady while assembling from under the car. The hitch was well constructed and had a good finish on it. Overall quality is very good. I would recommend this hitch to others."

Receiver Hitch for the Audi Q7 2007

Posted on 08/06/2008 by Gary V. - 2007 Audi Q7 (Chicopee,MA)

"I purchased this hitch and had the dealership install it. They had no problems with it and everything is working just fine. I took them about 2 hours to install along with some necessary hardward for the car is cost me about $200 for the installation. Well worth the cost and avoided any headaches. I am just using it for my bike rack. No electrical hooked up. Highly reccommended."

Class III Hitch for Hyundai Tucson

Posted on 08/06/2008 by Patrick M. - 2006 Hyundai Tucson (Owensboro,KY)

"I have looked around alot for a hitch for my '06 Tucson and this fits the bill perfectly. Other hitches that I looked at required drilling or modification of the bumper to attach. Most of the hitches available use the smaller 1.5" receiver while this has the 2". As I have several accessories that are designed for the larger receiver, this was great. The kit came with the hitch, an instruction sheet, 6 bolts and 6 cone washers. I ordered on Monday, received on Thursday and had free shipping to boot! The hardest part of the installation was getting the rubber hangers for the muffler loose, but a large screwdriver and channellocks did the trick. You have to move the muffler from side to side to get the hitch brackets up to the holes- it is a snug fit between the bumper and the muffler. The holes align correctly, no extra drilling needed. Tighten the supplied bolts and washers down, slip the hangers back on and you are done. The hitch looks great."
