"Great Product Solidly Built unfortunately had to Drill out frame for access holes for nuts/bolts to accomodate this hitch using *Fish wire method* for bolts...otherwize went well....not exactly bolt on, as I expected ...since it was MADE SPECIFICALLY for the VERSA (not a universal) so if you don't have a REALLY GOOD large metal hole-Cutter drill bit & powerful drill to get thru the FRAME, you might be disappointed. OVERALL GREAT DEAL dealers want $500+ to install one ...YIKES!"

"Outstanding Hitch, outstanding purchase experience. Hitch arrived on time in perfect condition ... not a scratch on it. Installation was easy and straight forward. Took more time to find the tools than it took to install the hitch. If you can't install this hitch, I recommend you sell all your tools."

"Online picture is not correct. Actual unit is curved round tube, and much nicer, neater appearance. I use this with a Thule bike rack, and the combination works well. Very, very easy unit to install. Instructions estimate 30 minutes install time, and I agree with that estimate. I rercommend loosening the muffler heat sheild as well, to ease the left side bracket installation. (although exhaust heat shield needs to be loosened"

Hitch for 2007 F-150

"This hitch was very easy to install. It was installed in about 15 minutes. You do need a second person to hold it up while you install the 6 bolts. The only problem was 2 of the 6 bolts didnt line up right. The bolts were going in at an angle. I thought about elongating the holes a bit so they would go in straight, but decided instead to tighten them anyways with the hopes they would straighten out. They did straighten out somewhat upon tightening. Although 2 of the bolts didnt line up right, I would still recomend."

"This hitch fit, exactly lining up with the truck frame and installed in about twenty minutes. I used a small floor jack to hold it in place and did all the work by myself. Also, the high gloss black paint finish really looks good!"

"Once the hitch was installed I was impressed by the fact it is hardly visible. The installation, however, did not go in the 20 minutes as suggested. I took the hitch to my mechanic for installation and he asked if it were brand new because he had to bend it approximately four inches to fit the car. Perhaps some damage was done in shipping. I also did not receive the plastic cap which fits into the square receiver and trying to find one has been a bit of a chore."

Installation a little tricky

"On the CR-V we had to unhook & drop the muffler down and then figure out a way to enlarge the holes on the frame to get the bolts & plates thru... Once accomplished - it fit perfectly secure. The electrical hook-up was kind of hairy because we had to remove afew major panels in the back of the new Honda. However, because it was a Honda - none of the clips broke and it went back together just fine. Best of all, everything worked great the first time out."

2009 Chevy Silverado

"I was very pleased with how quickly we were able to put the hitch on the truck. All we had to do was lower the spare tire, take out two bolts, put the hitch in place and put in 6 bolts and 4 nuts. It took all of 20 minutes. You will need two people in order to hold the hitch in place while mounting it to the truck."

"I was impressed with the quality of this hitch. I had never heard of Curt before. Was a piece of cake to install. Instructions were good and it lined up perfectly. I totally removed the muffler, but if you do that, you will need a new donut for the connection. Since it is so heavy, I had to have the wife help to hold it up while I started the nuts. I was happy to find a 2" receiver, since I have a variety of 2" hitches for my other vehicles."

"I recommend a friend or a jack stand to hold the hitch in place while you try to get the bolts in, other then that extremely straightforward. Will only use for a bike rack as towing is not recommended."

"I was very impressed by the fit and finish on this product. It mounted easily to the pre-threaded holes in the bumper/frame, and looks good after the final installation. The instructions left a little bit to be desired, but I was able to find alternative instructions online at a Lexus site. If you have a car as old as ours, anticipate taking longer and needing to be more careful - Those old fasteners can get brittle or frozen."
