I would rate myself as a novice/beginner when it comes to bolting items onto my vehicle. However, just as others have stated, the CURT Receiver was a project that could be accomplished with very little difficulty. My only problem was figuring out how to bolt it into place by myself. Figured out a solution and still finished the entire project (including adding a lighting harness) in less than two hours. Very FIRM installation and looking forward to the first use.

Well made and finished. Large center threads for bolt had finish in it making it difficult to install bolt and had to shorten bolt 3/8ths of an inch also this bolt requires torque of 380 lbs/ft and a half inch allen socket most people have neither of the tools required.

Who to get to install this hitch?? It really looked that it would be easy to do even for me at 76 years old. And it was....thanks for a simple effective product. Gordon

It says just drop the exhaust a little, had to remove exhaust to install the hitch. You are told to enlarge the holes in the frame from the bottom. Enlarging from the top(inside of vehicle) was easier and not effected by water and salt.

This hitch is made very well and I was fairly straight forward in installation. I was able to install it by myself, although another hand would have made it much easier. It took a little longer than I anticipated but I am very happy with the way it looks and how it installed. It looks rugged and enhances the appearance of my vehicle.

Went on very easy. Matched up perfect. Didn't even have to trim bumper as they said I might have to. Dropping muffler was pretty easy to do . Need two people to lift in place or two jack stands if you are doing it by yourself. The T-wire harness that I ordered also was too short to reach passenger side. Called 800 number and they told me to splice the wire. It all works fine.
