Stout Mount

"I ordered the Curt 10" drop mount along with a Curt 2" ball and Curt Anti Rattle kit. The drop mount and ball work together beautifully. I was impressed with the weight limit (5,000lbs) given the rather large 10" drop. However, I returned the anti-rattle kit. The bolt in the kit was only about 3/8" or 7/16" in diameter and did not adequately fill up the 5/8" pin hole in the hitch and ball mount. I will be using the ball mount to tow my Jeep behind my pickup and did not feel that the anti-rattle kit components would hold up to the forces generated by that type of towing. Such kit would be better suited for hitch mounted bike racks or light duty connections."

"After searching the internet for a hitch that would provide me with the correct rise I found this site. Price was great. Now to the ball mount - the quality of the the ball mount is excellent. Fit and finish is what I want and this ball mount provided it. Installation was easy :). Install the ball, slide it into the hitch and away you go... with a level trailer. Not much else you can say about it."

"The Curt Class V ball mount (SKU=3068594, part # D-124) is a sturdy, solid mount with 1.25" shank hole, rated at 12,000 lbs GTW and 1,200 TW. To minimize leverage on the tow vehicle, it is not excessively long. I'll try to update this review after the dealer finally lets me have my trailer (it's not yet ready for delivery) and I can try towing with it."

Perfect fit for custom mounted hitch

"This is the only hitch that would work on my 08 Dodge Caliber SRT4. First I had to custom cut my bumper just to be able to get a hitch to fit. The only problem was that then the receiver opening was set too far back. Well this 11.25" ball mount was the only one available that was long enough for my application. Thanks AutoAnything and thanks Curt!"
