"I received the hitch fast, it would have installed very easily but to no fault of the product, I had to tap out threads on the frame where it was to be bolted to. Looks nice and I believe it will serve me well."

Valley Hitch - 2009 Nissan Murano

Posted on 04/14/2009 by Philippe S. - 2009 Nissan Murano (Clearwater,FL)

1 of 2 people found the following review helpful.

"Strong hitch. Good construction. Came nicely packaged in a box. Easy to install by myself (once I figured out that 1) I did not actually have to unhook the muffler and 2) one bolt on the driver side is smaller than the others). Hitch does NOT look like the picture."

Good Product

Posted on 04/06/2009 by Carolyn E. - 2008 Nissan X-Terra (New Braunfels,TX)

4 of 4 people found the following review helpful.

"Fit was great. Instructions were complete. All parts went in relatively easy. Probably my fifth or sixth personal installation. Liked the offset in the mounting plates that eliminated spacer washers other brands used. Would just like an integral trailer plug mounting option. I wouldn't want to drill or weld on your structure to add one. You were the only guys that met the vehicle's 500# tongue/5000# trailer load without specifying a weight distribution hitch (wasn't required by Nissan specs either). For safety I would use one anyway on a high speed pull for all but the lightest trailer."

A sturdy hitch

Posted on 04/03/2009 by Jennifer G. - 2001 Honda Passport (Santa Barbara,CA)

"The Valley hitch I bought from Auto Anything has exceeded my expectations. It is hard to tell exactly what you are buying when shopping online, but I loved the price. The hitch I bought has to accomodate for the spare tire under the SUV, so there are not alot of options out there. I am so very impressed with this hitch, it is BEEFY. My boyfriend has a 4wd Subaru with a hitch and it has 50% less towing capibility than this hitch. You should see it in person, very impressive. I had U-haul install it, and we are now good to go travel the country."

"I'm not sure where it was shipped from, but it arrived with just the tube portion of the hitch covered. The paint on the corners was chipped away for the way it was handled. Otherwise, the install to my vehicle was a breeze."

Nice solid hitch but needed another hole

Posted on 03/16/2009 by David C. - 2009 Nissan Murano (Orlando,FL)

3 of 3 people found the following review helpful.

"This is a really nice solid hitch. The only problem during installation was that on the driver side the forward most hole lined up with a hole for the tie down bracket I just removed not the weldnut in the frame. I had to measure and drill a hole to line up with the weldnut. Good thing I'm handy. Otherwise installation went well."

Super simple install, Great value!

Posted on 03/13/2009 by Jason M. - 2005 Toyota Sienna (Ramona,CA)

6 of 6 people found the following review helpful.

"The hitch came in a box as opposed to bare metal & shipping tag as other reviewers described. Had to do a little "tweaking" with a bottle jack & 2x4 to get the bolt holes in the flange to align better, but after that it was a cinch. I had the hitch and wiring harness installed in 35 minutes!! It looks and performs wonderfully! Thanks Valley and Auto anything for makin' it simple! Regards, Jason "all thumbs" M. San Diego, Ca"

A Nice Hitch for the Money

Posted on 01/07/2009 by William P. (Roseville,CA)

3 of 4 people found the following review helpful.

"The only issue I had was getting it installed. The Nissan Murano has a transverse muffler that pretty much takes up all the space between the support rails. A very tight fit! Can't really blame Valley for that, however. The instructions said I should be able to rotate the muffler/exhaust pipes out of the way, but this was easier said than done. Once I managed to squeeze by the exhaust pipes on either side the rest of the installation was pretty straightfoward."

"The only downside I have had was with the mounting bolts that run through the bumper. I installed a hitch cover with barrel lock and there was no clearance to put the lock on. I had to reverse the bolts to make it work. Other than that, perfect."

Pleased with hitch

Posted on 11/15/2008 by Phillip M. - 2004 Honda Pilot (Dothan,AL)

5 of 5 people found the following review helpful.

"I installed the hitch alone so it took a little longer than 20 minutes, about 30. The installation was not difficult and I am very pleased with the looks of the hitch. The instructions call for the use of a torque wrench for installation. Due to the potential hazard that could result from improper tightening of the hardware, I highly recommend use of a torque wrench."

Installation

Posted on 09/11/2008 by Jack L R. - 2006 Saturn Vue (Midlothian,TX)

12 of 16 people found the following review helpful.

"The hitch fit real good on the vehicle, the two bolts on each side fit perfect. The two bolts in the middle were something else. First of all the wire they sent was to short, tried it and lost a bolt in the back tube. Called and they sent a longer wire that was long enough, but pulling the bolt and metal pieced it broke. Now I have two bolts rolling around in the back tube. That design was terrible, need a bolt that you could stick up and flair out. Don't know if I got to the hole it would have gone through anyways. The hitch fits real tight and am only using it for a bike rack and pulling a 10' trailer. Just wanted to find something that would work for the middle holes. Jack"
